Additional rules

🐾 Our Backyard Sniffspot Rules Welcome! We want this to be a safe, comfortable place where your pup can run, sniff, explore, and just be a dog. Please help us take care of the space by following a few simple rules. 🐕 Your reservation is your time. Please only enter the yard during your scheduled reservation and leave by the end of your reserved time so the next guest can enjoy the same privacy. 🚪 Close & latch the gate. Please make sure the gate is completely closed and latched when entering and leaving. 👀 Supervise your pup. Dogs should never be left in the yard unattended. You are responsible for your dog and their behavior while visiting. 💩 Scoop the poop. Please clean up after your dog before leaving. Use the provided bags and designated trash can. 🕳️ No digging, please! We know some pups love a good excavation project, but please redirect digging and help us keep the yard intact. 🌿 Respect the property. Please stay within the designated Sniffspot area and keep dogs out of any marked-off spaces, garden beds, or personal areas. 🔊 Be mindful of our neighbors. Normal dog noises are totally expected! We just ask that you redirect excessive or prolonged barking when possible. With that said, on the rare occasion that the neighbors dog adjacent to us is out, he will bark. He is deaf so you may need to redirect your dog to keep him from barking. However, neighbors are aware and do not mind him singing to the neighborhood every now and then. 🧒 Children are welcome with supervision. Any children accompanying you must remain supervised by an adult. 🚭 No smoking, vaping, drugs, or alcohol. 🧸 Leave the yard how you found it. Please don’t leave toys, treats, food, trash, or other belongings behind. 💧 Shared amenities You’re welcome to use any water, bowls, seating, toys, or other items specifically provided for Sniffspot guests. Please return them where you found them. ⚠️ See something? Tell us! If you notice a loose fence board, damaged gate, hole, broken item, or anything else that could affect another dog’s safety, please send us a message. ❤️ Most importantly — have fun! This space is here for dogs to have somewhere safe to sniff every blade of grass, get the zoomies out, roll around, play, and enjoy being a dog. We hope you both love your visit!

This is a leveled yard with some trees for the pets to room around and have the best nature feeling. For the owners we have a small deck with patio furniture with shade to watch them in a relaxed area. We also have a fire pit that can be used upon request. The yard has an independent entry so you can walk into the yard directly.

Open field for your dog to run. NOTE: CELL SERVICE is unreliable, texting a bit better. GPS is unreliable as well. Before your first visit, you should get an auto-message 2 hours before your reservation with turn by turn directions. Now on to the good info. The primary area is about 1 1/2 acres. I use it for dog sports such as Toss and Fetch (disc). It is ideal for throwing a ball, a disc, or just letting your dog run. There is a shed in this area that has chairs, toys, etc. for guests.

Nearly 22 private wooded acres. Spacious, natural off-leash space on a quiet rural property in the Roanoke Valley. Expect natural terrain with some natural trails and some beautiful vistas—perfect for sniffing, exploring, and wandering at your dog’s own pace. The land is not fenced, so this spot works best for dogs with solid recall or for handlers who are comfortable supervising off-leash. The terrain is rolling and varied with moderate elevation changes. Elevation at the property is around 1,244 feet. Mature trees offer shade and a strong sense of privacy and seclusion away from busy public parks. Important: We have one resident dog who free-roams the property. Please message us in advance if your dog needs a completely dog-free visit or has specific needs around other dogs. Ideal for confident explorers, reactive or sensitive dogs who prefer solitude, seniors who enjoy a slower pace, or anyone looking for a peaceful natural alternative to crowded dog parks.
