55My pup had a blast! Massive fenced yard and a great host!
55Ava had the best time in this large, clean property. She sniffed every corner, ran to her hearts content and followed every ball we threw and didn’t fetch it. We will be coming back again.
55Clean, plenty of shade and plenty of sun, too! Fencing seemed secure, I had no problems. Easy access.
55Nice big yard with shady spots to stay cool. Dogs had a fun time playing and running around there.
55My dogs and I had a great time here!! My dogs were so excited about all the open space that they started running huge circles around the property as soon as I let them out! Linda’s property is very clean and well-maintained. It was nice to let the dogs run free without having to worry about anything.
55Highly recommend! Our dogs had such a fun time running around. The spot was clean and well maintained. She even has toys and dog bowls for the guests to use. Linda the host was so sweet and kind that she offered us some of her apples.. will definitely come back :). Thank you for having us Linda!
55Very nice host, very clean and maintained. The pond was cute and safe! Lots of stuff to sniff, Nev had a blast!
55loved it
55Huge yard, great for fetch!
55Linda’s place was PERFECT for our mini American shepherd. Plenty of open space to run, shaded areas, toys, and the perfect little dip pool to cool off in. We will absolutely be coming back again.

Description

**UPDATE** My spot is temporarily closed while we are in the middle of our grape harvest. We don't want to risk any of our canine guests accidentally eating any grapes. We should be reopening again mid-September. Sorry for the inconvenience. Quiet, pastoral, calming environment, wide open, lots of room to run and play, with farmland and single-family homes surrounding the property. Good chance you may see the elk herd that passes through on a regular basis. Huge deck for owners to watch from as their dogs play. Just open the gate, park at the lower end of the driveway, and unpack your dogs. No need to leash up! Discounted rates and preferred hours are available with membership.

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries! Toss garbage away at the top driveway as you exit in the large gray bin marked "Garbage".
