Walter & Bug's Private Dog Park In Kent / Covington

Hello and welcome to our Sniffspot! This is our first time being a Sniffspot host and we hope you enjoy your time here. It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, farmland and single family homes surround the property. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! * due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you *please note: this pasture was used for a month (June 2023) by our goats & chickens and so the dirt in areas may be infused with the flavor of goat. While we have cleaned much of it, it can still be tasty to some dogs so wanted you to be aware * The terrain of the pasture does have some dips and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of long pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid shoes will help you navigate the land. *There are three chickens on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. * September may be too late in the season, but if you are interested, please do give us advance notice (3+hours) if you would like the small plastic kiddie pool filled prior to your arrival. Thanks!

Great location and huge yard. Our pups had a blast running around. Nice big trees keep the shade accessible and also provided spots to play hide and seek. We will be coming back here soon!

I don’t think I could say enough lovely things about this place. The yard is huge and well-kept, there are plenty of toys in case you forget your own, and it is extremely private. The host is extremely helpful, and accommodating. This particular spot has been such a wonderful blessing for me, to the point that I will probably be making this a weekly occurrence. Looking at the other yards in this area, I haven’t found one that compares to everything this one has to offer!!!

Worked well for my blind dog having very few steps or obstacles for him to negotiate. There was sunny space as well as shade. It was our first experience with SniffSpot and we we very happy.

This was our first SniffSpot and we loved it! Everything was exactly as described in the profile. Our pup had plenty of space to run like an antelope (her favorite activity) and things to sniff to her heart's content. The slight incline was great, everything was clean and well marked. It feels a little strange going to someone's home to use their yard, but I am SO Thankful for this concept. We will definitely be booking here again soon. Thank You 💙

What a beautiful yard! A wonderfully manicured yard. Completely fenced. So many areas to explore. Our pit bull Dottie loved the shady trees on the hill as well as getting lost in the bamboo forest. We had issues getting in the fence, but the host was gracious to help us in. Happy as a clam. Thanks!

This place was great! The yard is huge and very well kept. It felt very safe to let my dog loose and run around every where! The hosts were super responsive when I had an inquiry. They left water bowl for the doggo and hand warmers for the hooman, such a nice touch. I highly recommend this place.

My two dogs had a blast running in this big yard! The yard is a bit sloped, but it just makes them more tired, which is good. :). The owner was great about letting me know whether or not she’d be there and thoughtfully set out two chairs and some water for the pups. The yard is very well fenced and even though you could hear traffic, you couldn’t see it.

A joyful visit as always. We practiced some scent work and also managed to snap some lovely photos under the beautiful tree.

Wide open field to let the pup run! As others have mentioned, this site is best for dogs with a solid recall because it’s not fully fenced and its proximity to the road is close. We are marking this one as one of our favorite spots to book.

SO much space to run and play, our pup loved rolling around the grass and taking in all the new sniffs. The space is flat and open, so peaceful. Clear signage and instructions from host. The chickens were so cute and we all enjoyed looking at them. Partially fenced off the road, dogs with good recall and who stay close should be fine. Our dog's been sleeping the whole day away after our visit!

Beautiful, quiet area with lots of space to run and explore! Host was super responsive when I had a question during the visit. Info provided in listing is accurate, we had no issues with the partial fencing around the entry area. We really enjoyed our visit!

Lots of mostly flat, wide open space to play! There's also nice places for humans to sit and enjoy the landscape. The unfenced portion of the spot opens onto the road so that's something to consider if you're concerned about your dog escaping. My dog doesn't like to wander too far away so this was no problem for us but I can see how it might make others a little wary.

It's a great place for your dog to stretch their legs! I have also been doing recall training here because there's the perfect amount of distractions~

Very clean and open! Absolutely perfect for my dogs to run around and have fun. The host also has a tree with a swing that was fun to be on. The parking, toy bucket and clean up station were great to have and easy to find! Also the chickens on the property were a plus, super cute and friendly 😊
