55My pups had a great time — a lot to sniff and plenty of room to run!
55 Great! Just as described.
55During our recent weekend trip to Lancaster, PA, we booked a Sniffspot with Heather again, and it was fantastic. The space was clean, parking instructions were clear, and Heather kindly accommodated our early 6:30 AM booking to avoid the summer heat. Our dogs were thrilled to be back, joyfully running and rolling in the grass. The availability of clean drinking water and waste disposal made everything easy. Thanks to Heather for another wonderful experience. We can't wait for our next visit!
55we always enjoy visiting here! Smokey only lasted 15 minutes because of the heat and began shade hopping but it got her exercise!
55Lovely yard!! We had a great time, we enjoyed the shade by the tree!
55The sniff spot was great my dog enjoyed it!
55I got there a bit early, but Heather was very understanding! She let me put in an extension for my time and helped me through the gate and get parked. It was the perfect place for Obi to get some zoomies out and relax in the grass!
55Well kept area with lots of room for my dogs to run and play. Kids next door were sort of taunting my dogs, but nothing serious or harmful that would cause me to not go back to this spot and obviously no fault of the host! My dogs had a great time.
55The yard was delightful! We had a fun time fetching and relaxing in the shade.
55the pups absolutely loved it here! they had enough to keep them interested and engaged with each other and they could run off and do their own things. there were also objects that got them playing chase and hide and seek, which encouraged their stalking and slinking parts of their brains. they are absolutely wiped out!

Description

Lovely, fully fenced yard secured by a gate (which also has mesh wire). The fence has recently been repaired to address any gaps at the bottom of the fence, but as with any spot, owners must watch their dogs at all times. The height of the fence (4-5 ft depending on slope) is suitable for most small and medium dogs and even large dogs who aren't jumpers. If your dog is a jumper or an escape artist, you may need a place with a higher fence. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dog with provided bucket and scoop. We scoop daily or more and endeavor to keep the spot poop free for your visit, however, understand that we do allow last minute bookings and that it is possible that if you book with very little time before the reservation begins, we may not be able to get out to the yard to check for any feces before you arrive. No other dogs will be present in yard while yard is rented, however, the neighbors do have 2 dogs that are outside occasionally but not often.

Cleanliness

97% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE.

I live on a farm tucked back from the road. I have a shaded back yard of about 1.5 acres that’s fenced in. I provide baggies to clean up poopy and a chair to sit in. It’s not the best looking place but it’s definitely a nice place to bring your pup and just let loose!

Hello! Our fully fenced back yard is approx .25 acres, with multiple areas of shade and plenty of space for dogs to run and play. There is a fire pit humans can use, along with a table / chairs on top of, and underneath the deck. The deck gives good visibility of the whole backyard to keep an eye on your pup while you relax. We have two house cats, and while they’ll always be inside, they may sit on the windows watching the fun. IMPORTANT: At both entrances to the backyard (on either side of the house, be aware of the space between the rungs of the fence. Very small, unattended dogs might be able to squeeze through. IMPORTANT: Please keep dogs and people off the upper deck. We have broken floorboards and we don’t want anyone to get hurt.
