Hi, I’m Lori, an animal welfare advocate, longtime dog rescuer, and founder of Downtown Dog Rescue in Los Angeles. I’ve spent nearly three decades helping people and pets stay together, especially in underserved communities. I’m opening my yard on Sniffspot to give dogs a safe, calm, and secure place to run, explore, decompress, and just be dogs. I understand how important clean, private outdoor space can be for reactive dogs, senior dogs, shy dogs, or anyone looking for a peaceful experience away from crowded parks. My goal is simple: create a welcoming space where both dogs and their people can relax and feel comfortable.

Water, a wading pool, treats, toys, a pooper scooper, and a trash can for the pups. I’ve got 5 dogs: a Pug, Italian greyhound, Maltese, French Bulldog, Boxer mix, and a cat. They stay inside the house while your pup plays in the backyard. There is a play structure for kids, a ping pong table, basketball, and horseshoes to entertain you while your pup plays. There’s no charge for additional humans up to 10 guests. I’m also happy to host birthday parties for your pups! The backyard also has levels that are not fenced and there are different types of terrain in the spot (astroturf, rocks, dirt, etc).
