Location

Los Banos, California

Description

50-acre perimeter fenced field filled with pasture-raised upland game birds. Smooth, wide walking pathways, some with mulch, some are dirt and can be muddy when wet. Level ground. View of crop fields, cattle pastures, wetlands, and mountain ranges. Seasonal pond. On-site dog water and flush restroom. Please ensure there are no gaps in the fence, and inspect your dog thoroughly for foxtails after their run. This is a large space, so dogs must be able to be controlled and recalled when off-leash. NO hunting, shooting, chasing, or killing of birds allowed. Dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with proof of rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. If you are interested in top-notch bird dog or obedience training, boarding, or other services, please call (833) NKENNEL (833-653-6635) or schedule on PawPartner.com search zip code 93635 Los Banos, CA Nelson Kennels-Volta Farms.

Hazards

HOST NOTE

Unusually large area with lots of birds, jackrabbits, other wildlife, and distractions. Dogs need to have a good recall- it would be very difficult to catch a run-away pup in our location. Please check the fence for gaps. Foxtails may be present- always groom and inspect your dog after field adventures.

Water safety notice

Make sure to practice dog and human safety around water. Read more

Private Dog Park on Once Upon A Happy Farm

Private pasture fenced with extra large shade structure for pets and parents. There is no need to worry about water for thirsty doggies. There is access to a hose and water bucket. It's a great place for a doggy play date with friends on the farm. All income generated off our spot will go towards charities. Currently, we are donating to a children's school in Soweto, Africa. We have visited this school, and the children and families are such in need. Thank you for helping us make the world a better place, one reservation at a time!!!! Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person. In July, our spot supported Meals on Wheels in Soweto South Africa. At Christmas, we gave presents for a single mom in Johannesburg.

DISCOUNT FOR CURRENT AND FORMER SHELTER/RESCUE DOGS, SERVICE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOGS, AND HANDICAPPED DOGS. This is a fun spot for dogs to play hide & seek, find hidden items, and sniff lots of different plants. Dogs are welcome to dig as long as they don't dig up the plants. The plants are large so that shouldn't be a problem. There is plenty a bare ground digging space. The main part of the garden has a path around it which is perfect for zooming. The huge patio with dog beds and people furniture is great for relaxing. The grassy spot is wonderful for rolling around. The sprinkler can be turned on to have a water feature. There is also a doggy pool on the patio. The patio has an outdoor sink for cleanup. Dogs can be bathed/brushed on the patio. Dog shampoo & towels are provided. There is a small ice chest with two bottles of water. Wi-fi is provided.
