Hi! I’m Joanne, and this is my dog Nifty’s favorite place in the world—so I thought I’d share it. We have 15 private acres with woods, open fields, and river access, and it’s been such a gift for my dog to have a safe space to run freely. I know not every dog thrives at dog parks, so I wanted to create a peaceful alternative. This space is especially loved by dogs who need a little extra room or prefer a quieter environment. Near the cabin, there’s a cozy seating area where you can relax under the trees while your dog enjoys the space. We’re so happy to share this space with you and your pup! It’s meant to feel simple, calm, and restorative—for both of you.

Mary's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Windsor

Fully fenced in yard with open space for running and playing. There are trees outside the fence offering shade when needed. There is a hose for water access and toys throughout the yard. We do have a small area that is separated by a chain link fence for our dog to use as a quick outing while you are here if needed. He would always be supervised and is very friendly! Outdoor amenities are available in spring, summer, and fall only.

Laurel Woods: 2 miles of trails through 40 acres of forest

Over 2 miles of forested trails through private woods across 40 acres, abutting private conservation land on two sides. Perfect for privacy and either leashed or unleashed walks. Ideal for dogs who like to romp in the woods! Property includes streams, wetlands, hills, and clearings. Contact in advance for specific trails permissible to access and other rules, including where to park. Property is posted No Hunting but we still recommend wearing orange during hunting season for safety.

Sniffspot Somers/Stafford along the Shenipsit Trail

March 2026 Updates: Spring is definitely giving us a tease this month! Lots of guests have visited us during these 60 to 70° days and it’s great to hear the sounds of happy barking again. The yard is looking good! No more mud! All the favorite toys are out, as well as bottled water when the weather is above freezing and a stainless steel bowl. While you’re here, enjoy a hike in the Shenipsit State Forest just steps away from our property. Hike the Connecticut blue trail and take your pet(s) on a fun adventure. Bucolic, parklike grounds for a perfect day out with your dog. Play on the expansive lawn, go for a cooling dip in the spring-fed pond, leap over the stone walls, or explore the secluded woodland streams and trails. The location is convenient for day trips, but the scenery feels like you've discovered a perfect piece of New England nature. Don't miss out! Large backyard of a private home on a quiet street. Entirely fenced in, with minimal visibility to neighbors (you may hear them outside though). Yard includes playset with swings and slide, perfect for kiddos, as well as deck where you can sit and relax while your dog burns off some energy! Comfy hammock, chairs with cushions and guest wifi and outlet available. Off-street parking available in driveway.

50 acre closed gravel pit with roads and woods. The former air-soft club left partial combat structures remain here and there. First time check in at the shed/office.
