The field was so much fun for our doggy’s. Being spring it is wet and muddy which is expected. It is a big confusing as to where to park and what the boundaries are. To play it safe we stayed in a smaller area in the entry. This spot has so much potential and we will probably return in summer when it’s more dry.
I wasn't sure where to park and what the borders of the property were despite the description, but Jason was super responsive and I think I ended up in the correct area. Being Spring, the field was very wet and some parts were fully underwater. I came upon a seasonal pond and creek that were unpassable without higher boots than I had on. I imagine it's lovely in the Summer when it's generally a bit drier. I have to use a long-line with my dog and the many baby trees and shrubs that are part of the restoration project made that extra challenging, so keep that in mind if that's your plan too. The construction on the bridge is ongoing, so expect to see people and heavy equipment around that. There are houses along the south side (I think they're south) with dogs behind fences. They understandably had something to say about us walking by, but were well contained. It's overall a very beautiful, natural space.
Wide open space for running through the stream and puddles. A little confusing the first time visit because there are multiple no trespass signs. But the host responded immediately and helpfully. The Dogs were very pleased.
Super fun and large field for dogs to RUN! My dog had a blast splashing through the puddles and racing through the tall grass. Definitely recommend rain boots for people. My dog had one of the greatest times ever in this space getting to explore all the smells and the large space to run. I found the best way to get to the field, head down the road you park near towards the bridge, I hit some orange snow fencing and construction then turned left to get to the field. I’m not sure if the construction team is usually present but the space was very large and it was easy to avoid. Human voices and construction noises were present my entire visit (my dog and myself didn’t find them bothersome). The grass road is very apparent when you get to it and same with the river boundary (it’s also easily determined looking at maps). Recommend a dog with some form of recall or a longline as the space is unfenced.
