55Great private dog park! Lots of space to run free.
55Our three pups had a blast running around in the muddy fields! What a fun experience! Make sure you wear your rain boots!
55I've come here multiple times and will continue to do so!
55Great spot! There were neighbourhood dogs in their yards that were running the fence barking at us which was fine with me - a great training opportunity actually! However if you have a dog that would be bothered by that this might not be the best place for them.
55This is such a great place to take your dogs. Mine had a blast and came home tired. The map is so helpful for first timers to this property. I will be back again!!!!
35Beautiful property, especially the area before the dog park entrance which was level and had a perfect trail. I found the dog park area extremely uneven and had a difficult time walking it, guess its the time of year. I look forward to coming back in the spring when it is more even and a trail is in place. The host's had kindly let me know to wear boots, thank you. The dog park is a very large area, and extremely safe with the fence, except for the gate area where my dog decided to run for the exit. All the being said my dog had the time of her life, she sniffed and rolled and ran and came home tired. What more could you ask for?
55Great spot. Our boy Gizmo had a great time sniffing and fetching. It was pretty muddy so wear boots the terrain also pretty uneven so watch your footing. The only suggestion I would have is to have a couple of signs pointing to the directions into the area. Other than that it's great! Gizmo loves his visit for his first birthday!
55Our Samoyed needed a biopsy on Monday, so we decided to take him to this spot on Sunday. The host was very enthusiastic and gave us directions. The spot was large and clean. Although the snow melted when we went there, the dogs were very happy. We will come back when the weather is good or when it snows heavily.
45The dogs did have have fun! It was a bit wet and muddy but we were warned about that, I can’t wait to go back when the sunflowers are in bloom!
55Beautiful day to be outside! Ground was mostly frozen so not too muddy.

Description

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD.*** **Gate is back up and Fully Fenced as of April 21, 2024** Welcome to Goldenwood Acres! On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre fully fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers to the field past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds. From the barn to the dog park you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. Crossing through the tree line, you have private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. The best time to come is May to September. Come walk between the sunflower rows that grow up to 10 feet tall! We cut the field between the sunflowers, make trails and play spots. We also leave big areas untouched for our honeybees (hives located in the other field). Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season (November to May). The main are back up. This season we will also be placing picnic tables with a BBQ for large groups. I recommend booking the summer weekends in advance as they will fill up fast! Fencing Details: The 6-acre Dog Park Field is permanently fenced with approximately 2,500 linear feet of 4’ tall farm fence. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc) and cedar posts. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gates on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos). If you have any questions, please let me know.
