HOST REPORTS

Sometimes

We had a Golden Retriever and I also dog sit on certain days that can sometimes be heard from the area but do not have access to the dog park and are at a much lower elevation so cannot necessarily be seen unless you are on the edge from the Sniffspot. We also ALWAYS do our best to keep our dog inside during your arrival and departure times as well as when you are on the property unless it is urgent but again there is only 1 spot you would be where you would be able to look down and see into our backyard and most people go north on the property so you would not pass it.

HOST REPORTS

Sometimes

Our neighbors to the east of us have farm animals that typically reside in their front yard which is no where near the Sniffspot however, sometimes they do take the cows or goats up on their back property which does run next to ours but that is the side that has a fence to keep them separated as well as thick brush but you could possibly see them if they are near the fence.

HOST REPORTS

No

Just neighbors or joggers on the main road, but not in the dog park and should never be seen from the Sniffspot. When entering your vehicle or heading up the hill to the spot would be when you might see someone walking on Little Mountain Rd. or possibly my husband or I going in or out of our garage but we are do our very best to be inside during reservations starting and ending and once you are on the hill you will not see anyone the entire time of your visit.

Location

Mount Vernon, Washington

Description

Our property requires a walk up a hill to access the Sniffspot once you have parked. Once you reach the top you have just over 10 acres to explore on old forest roads and trails. We have very thick brush on the south, west and north sides of the property and the east side is fenced in. We live about 5 miles from I5 with an upper property behind our home full of old forest roads, some trails, trees, and plenty of room to roam around off-leash or on. There is a lot of wildlife around the area and that lives and sleeps in our property so lots to sniff but be aware for off leash recall if a bunny or deer passes by. Also the red flags on the west side of the property are to help show a boundary line for the sniffspot as a barrier before you get to the neighbors property.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

HOST NOTE

Blackerry bushes, partial areas not fenced, deer walk through the property often. This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water

Extras

Evening Fire Pit Session10 credits

Let us know ahead of time if you want us to set up our propane fire pit and up to (4) camping chairs so you can have some hang time up on the property. This is only available from 5p-8p and must be approved ahead of time in case we are not home to set it up!

Additional rules

Please park next to the garage on the east side of the driveway then you will walk up the hill. It can be quite steep but once you are at the top the entire area is open for your use. When you are on the upper property there is no gate only a fence along side the east side of the property and then an older small electric fence (not connected to anything in over 30 years) that wraps around the rest of the 10 acres so dogs must be familiar with open and off leash areas if going to be off leash on the property.

Christina's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Arlington

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

Fully fenced, mostly grass(rather dry and crispy during summer) with a wood chip and dirt walking path around the outer edge of the ever-changing yard and a couple garden beds. It's relatively flat and great for fetching! There are neighbor dogs that may occasionally bark next door along with a nearby horse we can hear every once in a while, but other than that, it's pretty quiet. [edit: The neighbor dogs are out more often for summer and they have been a bit barky, so if your dog is reactive, my spot might be better one to visit when Fall gets here and the Dachshunds are back to just being indoors] There are many squirrels and birds that frequent the yard, along with at least one mole that wreaks a bit of havoc on the grass. I'd prefer no digging, but if your dog got a mole, I would probably not be that upset about a hole. We lost one of our dogs last year and our remaining dog seems bored with the yard. I'm hoping making our yard into a Sniffspot will give him some enrichment as well, sniffing all the new dogs who have visited the yard. So far, all the new sniffs have been very exciting for my little rescue gremlin. :)

Tiffany's 3 Acres Fully Fenced Forested Trails.

Fully Fenced
3 acres

Welcome to our trails! These are wooded paths with some small hilly areas. ***Please note: we are working on projects in the trails through the summer, so we’ve blocked some days. But If you don’t see an opening to book please feel free to message us and we’ll try to accommodate you! Parking: On arrival, pull into the driveway and please park directly to your right in the grass. You will see a “guest parking sign” as well as an entrance sign and post with dog bags. Navigating the trail: On arrival, Keep your dog leashed unless they have perfect recall. Walk past the entrance sign and once you go through the first gate, you can let the pups off leash to run free. When you come to the very end you will find a gate with an “Exit” sign. Please leash back up at this point until you reach your car. (You may also come across gates that say “do not enter”… please don’t open these, you will no longer be fenced in.) You’re welcome to access the little seasonal creek but it is outside the fence line. Please shut that gate when you’re done using it. During the rainy months the trail can get muddy, we recommend boots for you and a towel for your dogs. In the spring and summer you will find wildflowers, and maybe even some berries! (Always only eat fruit you are 100% sure you can identify) In the fall and winter the leaves/foliage get sparse, so it’s easier to see the houses and properties through the woods, but the neighborhood is overall remote and quiet so it should still feel very private. Our dogs: We have 4 dogs that live here. They won’t have access to the area, but you might hear them bark when you arrive.
