My pup Ebony enjoyed herself so much We are both coming back. 🐕 thank you to host who came outside to show us where to go. After we got home Ebony was out like a light.

    My dogs had a blast!

We had a wonderful visit! Kathryn was very accommodating about rescheduling after a snow storm. The yard was securely fenced, and my pup had a great time.

There were a few toys scattered out in the yard not sure if it was on purpose or not but great for the dogs to investigate! Be aware there is kind of a hole in the yard or a pit, so just be careful walking… but the fencing was great, it was a huge yard, and it just felt really comfortable to use. There is a bucket to throw away poop bags too. Great experience, thanks Kathryn!

Nice sniff spot. The driveway and walkway were shoveled in the middle of the snow accumulating, overall good experience thanks!

Good sized yard and well fenced. Thank you!

Pros: Nice big yard, high fence, swing set for little kids, yard was clear of dog poop, there was a bin for poop with bags, there were a couple bowls of fresh water Cons: Yard had some tiny litter (chalk bits, pieces of plastic, etc), there were a few bigger holes in the middle of the yard, there were areas my dog could go where he was out of sight and could get into things. I think this yard would be perfect for a well-behaved dog that likes to run around a bit, but is aware of their surroundings (like holes). Unfortunately, my dog is prone to getting into trouble and is not so coordinated all of the time. This isn't the yard for us, but I'm sure it would be the perfect place for someone else!

Great yard, our pups had a blast playing! I’d say it’s their new favorite place! Thank you so much, we will definitely be regulars! :)

Quiet neighborhood and corner lot with off and on street parking. Fully privacy fenced area suitable for both larger and smaller dogs. Wifi available on request. WINTER USE OF THE SPOT: We would like to keep the spot open as much as possible in the winter. Here are some guidelines for its use during the snow season. The City of Marlborough does not permit on street parking in the winter. This means you will need to park in our driveway. We make every attempt to plow, sand and salt it for safety but cannot always guarantee conditions. If we cannot get this done or do not feel it is safe for guests, we will close the spot during a storm or post storm for cleanup. We will assess this each morning and from time to time cancellations may occur. We do not use dog safe salt in the driveway, so please use a foot covering for your dog as you would in any public area if your dog is sensitive. In the spot no chemicals are used. The yard will have snow and we generally do not plow pathways unless the snow gets a foot or more deep.

Country Setting & Nature Refresh - So Close to Town!

Fenced and secluded area for off-leash fun plus woods and trails and stream to explore! Parking by goat/duck pen at top of driveway or directly beside fenced area. (Goat pen has electric fencing around rear and sides and ducks may roam free a bit, so please no off-leash pups!) We are on 22 acres and outside of the fenced area there also is a trail and stream with easy access for dog wading. You are welcome to explore the trails with on-leash dogs - rough map of trails inside storage shed by the fenced area. Wildlife we have seen on walks includes: owls, deer, beaver, and even a family of otters. Please note that the fencing is farm wire with privacy screening in front of it. There are wood boards around the bottom of the entire pen to add safety and stability. Please message me if you have any questions or are uncertain if this area is a good fit for you and your pup. We want everyone safe and happy! The pen is a SIMPLE, wide-open, fenced area where your pup can play off-leash without other dogs or people around. Toys are provided in the storage shed by fenced area. If you bring your own toys or balls, PLEASE TAKE THEM HOME WITH YOU AND DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND IN THE FENCED AREA. WEATHER NOTE: this is not a grassy yard at the best of times. When snow has been melting or it has been rainy, you can expect plenty of mud and puddles. The fenced area can have varying degrees of mud while the trails will be quite muddy throughout the spring. If mud offends you (or your dog! 🤣), we aren’t a good spot for you during spring melting or extended rains. A note about restroom facilities: none available but … spot is very secluded. 😁😁😁 TP and trash bags provided. If you use the emergency, natural facilities please place TP in bag and then place bag in poop bucket. What happens in the woods stays in the woods …. Please place used toys and/or towels in the laundry basket outside the storage shed/container. Do not place back with clean items! Thank you. Last but not least, there is NO SMOKING anywhere on our property. Cameras in use throughout property. Thank you!

Large Fenced in Yard with Some Woods to Explore

I have a large fenced in yard. It is chain link and 6ft tall. It is reinforced at the bottom. There is a woodsy area in the yard for dogs to explore as well. Lots of room to run! You may notice your dog spends most of his/her time sniffing around instead of running. This is typical for the first visit: 1. It is a new space for them and they get a lot of information through their nose 2. Lots of dogs have been in my yard so there is so much to smell. This is still great enrichment and will lead to a tired and fulfilled dog. Please bring your own dog toys, water, and water bowl. If your dog poops (even if in the woods), can you please pick it up? I have a dog that likes to eat poop - so gross! You may notice that sometimes my deck is gated off. I do this so that the visiting dogs aren't distracted by the sliding door, standing in front of it thinking they are there to come into the house instead of playing in the yard. You are more than welcome to take one of them down if you want to sit up on the deck. If I forget to put the gate up and you want to block your dog from coming up on the deck, feel free to put it on the stairs to block the entryway. Other things worth mentioning: - Depending on the weather and time of the year, parts of the yard may be icy and/or muddy! Brings towels to wipe down your dog afterwards. If you visit early spring, you may see ground bees flying around on the south facing side of the house. By late April, you won't even know they are there. They are very docile (in fact most species don't have stingers) and are great pollinators. - I also dog sit out of my home. Some dogs that I watch are vocal and may bark the whole time you are visiting. If your booking time is during a time that I am home, I can ensure that they are kept quiet and don’t interfere with your visit. If hearing barking coming from my house is something that will impact your visit, feel free to reach out to me beforehand to confirm whether or not I am dog sitting and/or will be home. If there is anything I can do to make this a more enjoyable experience, please message me with feedback :) Hope you have a great time!
