Description

SAVE! This is a separate area beyond Tina’s Dog House for half the price. Book it and try it! Although the lower property is fenced on the south side, there are no roads, dogs, or neighbors out and the woods end at a 20’ high turnpike fence way down the mountain. It’s quiet and vast & I’m on a dead end road. It’s ideal for dogs who can play off leash in an open field & woods without full fencing. Or if you just want to walk your dog on leash. Approximately 4 acres including woods, the field borders only 2 neighbors with acreage far away. You will access the field from the right side of the upper driveway before you get to the gate. Park in the grass and walk back over the hill behind the small garage. All of that area is mine too, but it’s also closest to neighbors. You’ll have more privacy and your pup will have less distractions if you go down back. You will be permitted to use the field beyond the fenced yard only, because there may be other SniffSpot customers paying for the fenced yard at the same time. If you have concerns about another dog being inside the fence, feel free to message me first and if it’s not booked, I can block the calendar for the time you want to use the field so no other dogs or people are here inside the yard. I do also have a small dog friendly BnB and on some days there may be other dogs here. I ask guests to keep their dogs inside during your visit. In spring, summer, & fall I will have a hose run down to the fence and water bowls for the dogs. I can provide some seating in the shade for you as well.

HOST NOTE

Wildlife abounds. But they’re more afraid of you. I haven’t seen the bear yet but there is a black bear that’s been sighted on our road several times. Turkeys are strolling through in the fall. Whitetail deer are daily visitors. Fox, rabbits & groundhogs have been spotted.

Please request in advance through a message. Do not book through the app. Includes dog assessment and a brief talk about the safe use of essential oils (EOs) for humans and canines. I have weekly Q&As with a vet specializing in oils. Full health history, age, & size are important. Common dog issues include the “5 As”. Arthritis, Anxiety, Aggression, Attention deficit, & Allergies. Pain management is my focus. “Making the world pain free, 1 drop at a time”. Price includes one oil blend.

Traveling through in an RV? We have plenty of parking space!! I’m a retired nurse with a love for dogs. I’m 5 minutes off the Pennsylvania turnpike and interstate 83. I have a dog friendly BnB in my home, sitting on 6.5 acres with a 2-acre fenced in yard. All of my guests have dogs and stay during weekends for local agility trials. I have a white GSD and we play agility & other dog sports. I’m not booked every weekend but I will update the calendar when I am. If there’s any conflict the dogs on property will be kept inside during your visit. Please feel free to inquire if the calendar is blocked & you don’t mind if a guest is there when you want to visit. Also, please message me first about the extras before reserving/paying for them in case I’m not available. Thanks!

Playful Pups Retreat SniffSpot Play Yard

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE.
