This was my first time using a sniff spot. It was a nice yard, plenty of shade, good sized patio with chairs for you and a free standing porch style swing, if you prefer that. A nice hill with lots of foliage for the dogs to explore. Bring your own water and poop bags. The yard is fully fenced with chain link and two sides with wood privacy fencing. You do need both hands to lift the latch on the fence to go in/out. I booked the space with just 30 minutes warning. The host did confirm and assured she would have her four dogs inside and on the opposite side of the house so we wouldn’t have them barking. There were a few poops in the yard, but again, I booked the space just 30 minutes before the time, in the middle of a workday so I don’t hold that against the host. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the neighbor on one side has a large (80-lb) boxer mix who barked at my pups for a few minutes and then again every few minutes while he was out. He was nice and he sniffed with all 3 of my dogs and made no indications of inappropriate behavior. He just surprised us when he came out. The neighbor was quite friendly and we chatted a bit. I mention the neighbor dog because I know many people use Sniff Spot specifically to bring their dog-reactive dogs to places where they won’t see any other dogs. The fence with this neighbor is chain link and so if he comes out while you’re there, your dogs will definitely see him.
