DOG PARK RULES 1. Use of the Dog Park is at your own risk. 2. The Town of Oakland is not responsible for injury or illness to any dogs or people or property. 3. Dogs must be accompanied by an adult, under constant supervision and must never be left unattended. 4. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children have a tendency to run and scream when excited which can trigger a dog’s natural instinct to chase. For this reason and for the safety of children, we do not recommend bringing small children and infants into the Dog Park. All children in the Dog Park must be under constant supervision. 5. Owners must carry a leash at all times. 6. Owners and dogs must enter at the main double gate. 7. Dogs must be leashed before entering and prior to leaving the park. 8. All dogs must wear a collar with an ID tag at all times. 9. Owners must clean up after their dog. 10. Dogs with aggressive tendencies are not permitted as they put others at risk. 11. Play equipment is for dogs only. 12. Be kind and considerate to other dog and dog owners as at all times. Any violations shall be reported to the Town of Oakland: 301-334-3253 and/or Garrett County Animal Control: 301-334-3553.
