55We took Halo and Jake here on a beautiful day in March. They swam in the creek, chased sticks and loved running around the property smelling everything. I love that this spot has a little indoor area for drying off the dogs. There are also lots of toys in the room. (Jake found them at the end of the trip and tried to swipe one!) It is more expensive than the others, but it’s special treat to access the beautiful creek with no other dogs.
45Really nice set up, but not great for us. Hard to trust sighthounds off leash without full fencing and this is fairly woodsy so they’ll be after anything they see. Kinda pricey too, so it’ll prob be a special occasion only place for us. Wish they had more fencing.
55Very welcoming environment. Lots of things for pups to sniff. Overall, great place to explore.
55Such a nice place to let your dogs roam off leash, was private and had a nice little stream for our dog to play in. Our dog Enzo is dog reactive and doesn’t really care for strangers, so it was an excellent place for him to go and play off leash
55We loved this spot, particularly because of the creek! Beautifully soft towels for drying off afterwards! Loved the little Christmas treat bag! Host was very friendly and helpful. As noted in the information, there are a few places where a determined dog could get through to the neighbours property - fortunately my dog was being super well behaved as there were so many other interesting things to do! Lots of toys, drinking water, hose and shampoo etc for cleaning after of needed. But water in creek very clean so not needed this time!
55Amazing! Best spot we have been to so far, can't wait to go back.
55What a fantastic Sniff Spot!! Halo and Jake had so much fun running around and checking out the property! Jake waded in the stream even though it’s mid-November. The decorations are amazing - Halo was even barking at a witch, and she never gets scared! 🤣 There is so much to do here! We’ll be back!!
55Such a beautiful property!
55Was a great experience, the pups were in dog heaven. Only downside is we don’t live closer.
55Great little spot in beautiful area, the creek was fun and halloween decorations were very spooky!

Description

Bring your pups for a private tranquil experience! Beautifully set within five fenced acres. Tucked away and surrounded by a peaceful year round running creek, several mature oak trees providing plenty of shade and toys for you and your pup to have a fun adventure together without the distraction of other animals or people. We provide several seating options, a paddle board (seasonal), floaties (seasonal), cooler for drinks and food, toys, water (cold/hot/ice machine as well), water bowls, water shoes, doggie life jackets in varies sizes, doggie shampoo, natural bug sprays, doggie and hooman sunscreen, treats, a hose area to rinse off yourself and doggies, and a indoor bathroom. All is easy to locate with well places signs. We look forward to hosting you and your furry four leg babies! Pleasant Valley Creekside Ranch https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550228295246&mibextid=b06tZ0 *Just a couple things to note: There is not a “hiking trail” on our property. Our spot is meant for those who are looking to have a fun safe place to swim and play as well as those who want to enjoy some or all of the amenities we provide. Additionally our creek is not shared with any public access. The strip of land across the creek which is mainly covered in overgrowth of blackberries and trees is privately owned and fully fenced. No public access is granted there. Additionally during rattlesnake season it is always good to be aware of your surroundings no matter where you go, however we have not encountered any snakes on our property to this date. Our creek as well as many other play areas on our property is used safely daily by our 2 labs, 2 frenchies, kitty, family, friends and Sniffspot reservations*

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Although this spot has a great space for doggies to swim, run and play as well as lots of amenities for both doggie parents and there pups…this spot also has areas that are lush with blackberries, uneven terrain and a creek. However most doggies do not venture to where the blackberries are. We also have a ramp seasonally that is helpful to enter the creek for those that need it. However this is why we say all doggies are welcome but we recommend it best for those that do well off leash with good recall. Additionally please make sure to review these guidelines for spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water

Host replied: We appreciate your local patronage and trying us out! In the spring, summer and fall months the creek is a bit lower and slower moving as well as crystal clear. A great place to cool off for all! During those months we have rafts for floating, SUP to use with pups, seating by the creek, coolers, and many more seating areas around the property with shade. We also provide everything needed including doggie shampoo, water shoes, treats, toys, towels, indoor bathroom, etc…and additionally are very dedicated to cleanliness and upkeep to the area so it is a enjoyable experience. This is why we do charge a bit more. We also do fundraiser events for halloween and Christmas to benefit Sammies Friends, which currently we are still in the process restoring everything for next year. We will be building a greenhouse with comfy furnishings and attention to detail which will serve as an event area for Sniffspot use and other future events as well as a fenced area for dogs that need more secure fencing. Lots of exciting things to come! Thank you again and we hope to host you again in one day! 🐾

*** This is a country retreat with vast land and multiple areas to explore, please check out our Sniffspot for a nature adventure if your doggy has a good recall only*** It's a 10-acre property with a vineyard, free-range chicken will be visible upon entering. Big open space slightly downhill on the left side of the vineyard. The middle part of the property is a small kid's playground that opens up to the pond where ducks and wild geese hang then it opens up to another open field terrain on the right and a small wooded area on the left which is still open and connected to the pond. This is the property line which is a WATERLINE (no fencing along waterlines) Once grape season starts which is typically the end of August-October, wild turkeys and deers may be visible because they love partaking from our future harvest but would be okay if your dog shoo them away :) Around harvest time may see more people than usual, intermittently due to harvest but sniffspot is way far down the road, so no worries about space! Summertime gets dry but we mow the land and the vineyard is in full bloom! Winter is a dormant period, rare to see people only a couple in the the middle of vineyard trimming around January until Spring time. It would be best if your dog is trained to do recall. If you are unsure about our property and still have questions and concerns, you are more than welcome to do an ocular inspection and if it does not fit your dog's needs and capabilities, we'll be more than willing to refund you, just send us a message. Thank you for reading all the details of the property before a visit as well! (Detailed map & pic directions sent after booking!)
