15After traveling for 2 hours to this Sniffspot, we were unable to access the property as the gate was locked. There was no phone coverage available at the property, I left a family members in the driveway. Well, I drove to get coverage. When I called the owner, the call went straight to voice mail stating txt me, which I did with no reply. After returning to the property, a car stopped in the road. The lady driving said, "Can you get your cars out of my driveway. No hello or introduction. I inquired, saying we are looking for Sniffspot she said, " You need to move your cars out of my driveway. I have an apartment at 12 p.m., and it's 11.59 now. When we finally got to the so-called park, it was an unkempt padlock with horse poo. The padlock was size of 2 to 3 tennis courts with a swimming pool. There were 4 wooden reels with old split planks connecting them for the dogs walk over and some old plastic children's playground equipment stacked up under some trees. There were some old dirty dog balls in a box. After looking around and dealing with the lady who was very rude. I told her that the facilities were not up to an acceptable standard and I wanted my money back and left for the 2 hour drive home. That's 4.5 hours of my life I'll never back.

***Charges are in USD*** Open most summer days from 10 am to 4 pm. We have a small lifestyle block that has a pool you can use with your dog (which we are currently replacing) during summer but you must get in to be your dog's lifeguard. The park is booked by the hour and run by donations with all donations going back in to run the new pool and make improvements to the park. Please text 0272885358 to confirm your booking. We started this as there are fewer and fewer safe places to take our furbabies off leash especially in Auckland as the councils close off more places to pet owners every years and now we can not access beaches to cool our pets off. Our park is run by donation we are open outside of school hours as the owner relief teaches to pay the bills so bookings are essential. There is also a cattery and small staycation along with sales of supplements and treats and raw frozen meals for your furbaby onsite. The pool is open in summer and you are expected to get in the pool with your dog as their life guard, the host is there as your lifeguard. As the donations come more equipment and facilities will be added. So please do return and join the Facebook group Newflands Dog Park to keep updated with progress.
