55We loved this spot! So much room for zoomies. The fence is terrific and felt very secure. Google Maps took us in circles when it came to the address, but we figured it out!
55Amazing experience and we’re so so grateful to Melissa for her support with our dog, Copper. We’ll definitely be back!
55Beautiful spot! Very clean and secure.
55Such a wonderful spot with plenty of room to run, stunning views, and some shelter for the humans in case of bad weather. Melissa fantastic about communicaiton regarding the spot and ensuring visitors have all the instrucitons needed to easily find the farm. Really I think the pups faces say enough about how much fun they had!
55My dog had a blast! Host was very nice when we ran into her, and was very accommodating about a short notice reservation! Can’t wait to go back in the summer when the snow is gone.
55Can't recommend this spot enough, such a great space to bring reactive dogs too and have them able to run freely without worrying!
55This place has given us the opportunity to introduce our new puppy to our resident dog in a safe way. so happy it exists !
55This spot is INCREDIBLE!! We use sniffspots because I have one pup that’s very, very nervous. They had a huge field to run around and explore and then we explored the trails, which was so fun. It felt like we had our own private trails and just knowing we wouldn’t run into any bikes or people made it so much more enjoyable. Fencing was great. Spot was muddy for us today because of the rain last night and warmer weather, but that was a plus for my pups and just part of nature. The trails were absolutely beautiful. My pups had a blast and were asleep as soon as we got them in the car!!
55This was our 2nd visit and my pup is always so tired that he is ready to go after 40 minutes. Thank you for sharing this beautiful location.
55Perfect place and day!

Description

Ticket to Heaven is a small rescue farm sitting on a total of 75 acres, where we provide visits to learn about horses, farm and rescue. We have both farm and small animals in our care. In addition to a fully fenced run area (maybe 1.5-2 acre) and an easily accessible private trail loop. All proceeds through sniffspot go directly to the Sanctuary.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

can get muddy, long tall/grass field can house normal field insects (bees, etc), can be slippery and icy during freezing months. Spot is sometimes used as over flow for horse pasture. This is a working horse farm, so not a groomed pristine mowed yard.

Extras

Farm fresh eggs$0

With the longer days are hens are in full production and can’t possibly use them all. We have a small flock so please ask if we have eggs available. Hens are totally free range! We ask for direct donation of you choosing via our sanctuary website or cash

Fire-pit Fun$50

Practice makes Perfect$50

Although we are not certified trainers, we have taken in any number of rescues over the years and dealt many challenges. If you need someone to practice with for your dog who is learning (eg. dog/dog introductions)...let us know in advance and we can see how we might be able to help. The price listed is a recommended donation.

A fully fenced yard for you and your animals to run and roam! The Hawthorne has almost an acre of land for your doggo to explore! Because of the heavy precipitation recently, there is a decent size puddle in the low ground of the yard and the grass surrounding it saturated. Feel free to use the hose to rinse your pup off if they play in the water. We are fully fenced in so y’all can run without worry! We have a hose and bowl outside for you to use for water. We have a large open area to play ball or frisbee and a meadow / English garden type area on the sides of the yard that provide fun terrain for your dogs to explore. The dogs are welcome to roam whenever they’d like, but please be mindful of what they eat since we have a native pollinator garden. The yard is enclosed by a combination of a 6’ privacy fence, as well as a chain link fence that abuts the neighbors backyard (no dogs), and a white picket fence reinforced with chicken wire on one side. The shorter fence is on an embankment so it’s almost equivalent to our 6’ fence that surrounds most of the yard. We mow regularly. There is always ample, safe street parking directly in front of the Hawthorne Hotel, as well as on the side street where there is a convenient gate that leads directly to the back yard. The best spot is right outside the gate. Please be mindful of closing the gate behind you when you enter and exit as it requires a firm tug to latch. Contact us to get a viewing or if you have any questions!
