25The Hosts had very good communication prior to our booking. We have a reactive foster dog, so I wanted to make sure no direct neighbors had dogs that we would be able to see or hear from the spot and they assured us we should be good and that wouldn’t be an issue. Just so others are aware the house directly next door does have a dog that borders a good chunk of the fenced in area. A kid brought the dog out on a super long leash as well, a lot longer than 6 feet and the kid was maybe 7-8 years old with no adult with them. There was maybe only 10 minutes of our visit where dogs were not being heard or seen and we left 15 minutes early due to this and it was too stressful for our pup. Dogs can come right up to the fenced in area as well. In addition, we booked the spot a day and a half in advance, so I take some stars away since there were some poops left in the yard. I picked those up as soon as we got there. The house was easy to find, but we would have never booked if we knew direct dogs were going to be so close the whole time. I also had issues with the cleanliness of the yard. The amenities were very limited as well for $15 an hour, most of the toys provided were kid toys. This yard might be good if you have a small dog, but even throwing a ball there was limited space. Do not book and expect to be able to sit down and relax because you will need to be walking the yard the entire time to highly monitor.

Additional rules

Please pick up after your pups! Please refrain from digging as we have kids and pups of our own that actively use the yard when it is not being booked! If your dog is reactive please be consciously aware of other people walking their pups around! We live in a neighborhood that is very safe to walk in and there are a lot of dog owners! We are fully fenced but please try to be mindful of outsiders walking! We have access to a small pond/lake directly behind the yard! Only residents are allowed to use it but if you book a spot to use our yard, you are able to use the water as well!- the water is nothing special so keep in mind it may not be the cleanest but your pups are more than welcome to take a dip! If you have trash please throw it away and don’t leave it in the yard or on the patio as we have small children who will put anything in their mouths, thank you!

Hello! And welcome to our Sniffspot! We have two fur babies of our own, a corgi and lab mix! We understand the hassle and stress of finding a small place to let your pups run free! We have two dogs that are reactive and it can be stressful finding somewhere they can run around! That is why we have offered to open up our backyard!
