Hunter loved it, and we had a good time

Again, great spot to bring 4 large breed dogs to run and have fun. :)
Brought my three dogs here and they had a blast sniffing around and exploring! The map provided really helped. There was a nice mowed path around the perimeter that we jumped on and off of. The creek was dried up but my dogs enjoyed exploring the creek bed so that worked out just fine. Lots of trees and bark and bushes that my little hunter had a fun time jumping in and out of.
Beautiful, wide open spot! My dogs had a blast. There are paths mowed through the field which made it easy to walk around and navigate. The directions are super clear and we had no issues finding the entrance. I will just mention, as others have also noted, one side of the field isn’t fenced so this may not be the best spot for dogs who have a tendency to run off and won’t recall. We also did see one person walking an off leash dog near the road - not sure if it was a neighbor or passerby - it wasn’t an issue for us, but I’m guessing people may walk their dogs that way.
Easy to find, great directions. Dogs had so much fun running through the field. Definitely will come back with a picnic.
Instructions were easy to follow! Huge area to roam, my pup had a great time sniffing! So much to sniff! I would only suggest to host to mow as the weeds/ grass are pretty long.
Host replied: Thank you for coming all the way from El Cajone! This land has an interesting history. Traditionally the whole field is being mowed only once a year for fire safety, because it has been the will of the donor of the land (an old lady from Virginia, Ms. Sarver, after whom the road is named, who used to grow canna bulbs here, and loved children, animals and nature) to keep it mostly natural, and we love everyone to enjoy the high grass and wild flowers till fire season. That said, we'll keep mowing the paths through the field for sure and I've been thinking of mowing one of the patches in between... Thank you, and, ENJOY!
Great large open space for the dogs to wear themselves out! It’s also very beautiful and peaceful to be out in nature. Highly recommend!
Great spot for dogs and people to explore . My dogs were so excited to see the creek and got a good drink out of it . For non experienced hikers , make sure you bring a stick with you in the way back to your car . There is some terrain that’s steep but just for a short length . Thank you for sharing your beautiful land .
Great walking loop and tons of room to sniff, run, fetch balls! Nice shaded area with picnic table to rest. Bring water.
