35A big yard, but I didn’t see a water bowl and there was a good amount of dog poo around.
55Our first Sniff Spot visit ever went well! Nice fenced space was private and perfect for working recalls with my friend's new rescue and for letting him and my boy run loose and play. Nice mix of open and shady areas, a small pool for water or splashing, and a bench swing for people
55very nice area, my dog loved watching the chickens. He did more of than than run lol
55A friend told me about how great SniffSpot was for their experiences and so I had to try it out for myself. My dog, Leia, had a fantastic start to her morning on the lovely property that was just big enough to get all her energy out! It was well maintained for the most part and the fence was sturdy and trusting. I will for sure thinking of coming back. Thank you for such a great first experience with SniffsSpot! (some people didn’t pickup after their dog so please try to help out and keep the yard clean for the family, it is a small ask that goes a long way!!)
55It was a great spot.
45Cute yard and my dog really loved looking at the chickens which were very secure in their coop. There are a couple of nice places to hangout while the dog wonders. I gave 4 stars because there was some dog poop in the yard that looked like it had been there for a while so I did have to keep an eye out as we were playing and walking around.
55The spot is as described and the hosts are responsive. If you have a dog that has a high prey drive, the chickens might be a bit much. They are outside the yard but visible. And if your dog is a small escape artist (mine is 17 lbs), they may be able to access the chicken area.
55Beautiful layout that me and my dog loved!
55Such a lovely place! It’s very spacious even and had so many little nook and crannies for my dog to explore. The bench swing was so nice to sit and relax on while my dog played. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back :)
45The yard was cute and spacious and the host was a great communicator! My dog and my friend’s dogs had a wonderful time. The reason for 4 stars is that the yard had what looked like dog vomit in at least 4 places. I also found a couple of dog poop piles. I texted the host and she said her husband would pick them up, but we did have to keep our dogs away during our visit. Otherwise everything was good! Note that there is a chicken coop at the far end of the property, but there is a fence separating the yard form the coop. This is no problem, just something to consider!

Description

We have two fully fenced areas (front and back of the house) as well as an unfenced, wooded area on the corner (with a walking path). Lots of running space! There are usually a few chairs out there so make yourself comfortable. There's shade and shelter from rain. Only one neighbor (no houses in front or back of ours) and not on a busy street. We have one dog who will remain inside during visits. We also have friendly chickens who are fully enclosed outside the fenced yard - and they don't spook easily (our dog interacts with them frequently). We work from home full-time but both yards are accessible from the outside and available whenever.

We're a family of 16 (4 humans, 1 dog, and 11 chickens!). We work from home full-time and the kids go to school full-time. We love animals and are happy to share our (almost) half an acre lot.

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries! Toss garbage away at the top driveway as you exit in the large gray bin marked "Garbage".
