55Aggie loved the pond, running through the woods, back and forth across the yard until her little legs couldn't carry her any longer. Her only concern was the popping noises from the range on stokes. We have been working on desensitization to loud pops but she still hates fire works. ❤️

As soon as we got there we saw a doe in the yard and so many different things for Benny to see and smell! Beautiful place to just let him experience! We loved it and highly recommend!!

If your dog is not good at staying near you this unfenced yard may be a challenge as it is near a road and there are other neighbor yards. We tried to walk the trail to Wharton but it was overgrown and filled with spider webs. The property was very clean with a hose to rinse off dogs if needed. Would visit again.

Description

There is a pond that dogs are welcome to swim in. Has shallow entranceway, and deeper areas. Dogs love to fetch sticks and balls from the Pond. Also, there is a bridge from the edge of our property into the Wharton State Forest. There is a pretty wide trail.

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There is usually a pile of branches right in the middle of the area that is our “burn pile” I don’t actually see how it could provide a hazard, but if your dogs are particularly curious, I suppose they could try to burrow under it and have branches fall on them. Has never been a problem, but wanted to mention it.

Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.

    We just got home and had so much fun! We have a 50ft lead that we keep Benny on while still working with his recall and this was a great place to do that! As soon as we got there we saw a doe in the yard and so many different things for Benny to see and smell! Beautiful place to just let him experience! We loved it and highly recommend!!

We love animals, so we live at the edge of the forest. We have 4 acres in a park-like setting with a pond. We have fostered dogs, babysat dogs, adopted dogs, and our friends and family are always welcome to bring their dogs when they visit. We would love to share our park-like setting with you. While our dogs will remain inside the fence, or even inside the house if they are too distracting, you’re welcome to enjoy the rest of the property and splash in the pond

If someone is home, we’re happy to bring a bowl of water out for your pup, but bringing a water bottle is the safest bet until we turn our water back on in the spring. Thanks for understanding!
