Location

Description

Cute little farm in rural southern Douglas County right on the Franklin and Johnson county lines! Wide open spaces for pets and owners alike!

Hazards

Cattle pasture—please be mindful that this is a cattle farm and that there’s not any (current) fencing for dogs to be separated into. Dogs can be injured and killed by livestock and we are not responsible for injuries to your pet if they breach our pastures to chase or attack our livestock but we will hold you liable for damages or losses if your dog enters our pastures. Gravel road—until I can install a fenced in area for dogs to use the yard is open and dogs can access the adjacent gravel road. Please be mindful of this and keep your pets out of the road as traffic is common and speed limits can often be ignored. General rural hazards—while we haven’t had an issues with our own pets there are the usual rural hazards that can present themselves including but not limited to local wildlife ranging from raccoons, opossums, deer, to predatory animals including hawks, eagles, owls, coyotes, bobcats, and venomous snakes. Be mindful of these dangers both when scheduling your visit (times near dawn and dusk will not be scheduled) as well as during your visit. Neighbors—Neighbors also often allow pets to roam off leash and while most are generally friendly we ask that you be mindful of their presence and the possibility that they can enter the property unexpectedly to avoid any territorial scuffles or other dog reactivity issues in the event that you and your pet encounter one of our neighborly visitors as they’ve made friends with our pets and come by for social calls frequently. Also please refrain from letting your pet cross onto their property as this is a rural area and many of our neighbors utilize their property for growing hay and other crops that they rely on for their survival.

I live on 4.5 acres and have about 1 acre fully fenced off. You and your pup or pups will be away from other houses and in the country. No city shenanigans. No other animals loose on the property and you have it all to yourself. I have a pup pool and it is K9 friendly, safe, and is 1 foot deep. Just added an automatic tennis ball launcher for the pups. Entrance would be down road on Cedar Niles, then left into my driveway that is north of my external shop, and the drive leads you straight to my fenced off area (see map in the photo section). I have signage to guide you in. Property including entrance to fenced off area monitored and recorded by security cameras (They will alert me when you arrive and leave). As you can see with the pictures, I have a main open play area and then trails going through the thicker/overgrown grass. There is a 55g freshwater barrel and a drink tub for your pup right inside the entry and you can't miss it when you walk in. I have an umbrella set up to get you out of the sun (You can wind it up and down) and chairs to relax on while the pup or pups play. I have a TON of complimentary toys provided and LOTS of tennis balls for you pup or pups if you don’t have any (Please just put them all back). Dog poop baggies provided and at two different areas when you walk in. Trash bucket on-site to throw away dog poop and trash to keep the area clean. I have 150ft of patio lighting and an LED flood light around the main area of the Sniff Spot. The lights are bright and now you can book late evening into sundown, even night visits if you choose. The main area of the Sniff Spot is fully lit with the hung patio lights. Pictures are posted. Please clean up after yourself and leave everything as it was. This is very important for the next guests, my Sniff Spot stays VERY busy, and I at times I don't have time to inspect my SS before the next bookings. Don’t hesitate to contact to let me know anything to make your experience at my SS better! Please leave comments on your visits, pictures of your pups having a blast, or simply post anything related to my Sniff Spot: https://www.facebook.com/AdamsSniffSpot *** March 16th, 2023 (Thursday)) Update – I have put in a new pup toy bin with new toys, put in even more tennis balls, and I installed a new LED flood light to better illuminate my SS during night visits.
