Great place for my pups to run around! Very peaceful, great fence! Only con is my dogs kept trying to walk in the little garden. I will definitely stop here again!
They advertised offstreet parking which was not the case. I had to park on the main road. I had told her I was bringing three dogs and that was one of the reasons that I considered her property because it had offstreet parking. The truck that was blocking the driveway could have been moved to the on street so that I could’ve parked down near their gate. There was also a pile of dog poo in the yard that was not my dogs. The host came out which they usually don’t do. I had a reactive dog and it wasn’t a pretty sight. Nobody got hurt. The host was very friendly and offered me and my dogs water. They had great toys for the dogs to play with as well. I just wish they did not advertise offstreet parking if they did not have that available.
Great host and area!

I do massage therapy on dogs and horses ..during the pandemic my income is down so would love to this on the side to help dogs who need to stretch their legs.
Our Sniffspot has been referred to as Dog Heaven. We are in a remote area in the Appalachian Foothills of SE Ohio. We have farm roads, mowed trails and open fields you and your dog can enjoy, but the favorite place for most dogs is our pond. Our pond features a dock that dogs love to jump off of. There is also a large covered pavilion with tables and chairs. A basket of water toys is next to the dock. There is an outhouse there and well, it is primitive, but clean (unless the mice make nests, but I try to keep ahead of that) In dry weather the pond is accessible by vehicle but it is also a good walk for people and dogs, about 1/2 a mile from the parking area (and mostly uphill). This pavilion also has our "Sugar Shack" attached, which is where we boil down maple sap in February and March to make syrup. The Maple Grove is up a trail above the pond. **My dogs swim in this pond most days in the spring, summer & fall. The pond has an aerator and also is treated with Pond Blue, both of which help to eliminate the possibility of dangerous algae blooms. There is also no fertilization of fields that could run off into the pond. **
I have an enormous fenced-in yard. I’ve been working hard on getting it ready for doggy visitors. The ground can be a bit uneven, so please watch your steps. The gophers seems to dig holes faster than I can fill them, so running (for humans) is not advised. The best parking is at the corner and SniffSpot guests have their own gated entry at the far end of the property.
Back yard is about 3/4 to an acre fully fenced. There is an above ground pool with a fence around the deck. Small dogs will be able to sneak through the pool deck fence so use caution with smaller pups. We block the deck off with all the pool junk best we can. Depending on if we are home the yard is always picked up before each guest and fresh water put out for your pup. If you need to book with shorter notice, send me a message and see if I can make accommodations. I also block time off to mow grass or if we are using the pool. A lot of the time I am done early so you can always message me and we can see if it’s available. Any questions just ask :)
Dogs that are aggressive towards people ARE NOT WELCOME. I was just attacked while gardening in my front yard by a sniffspot persons dog. & I’m simply grateful my kids where not home. We ARE NOT a theropy location for aggressive dogs. Come join our journey as we restore, our newly purchased 247 year old farm, in 84 PA. We are replanting the riparian buffer to keep our waterways clean & beautiful. Planting hundreds of trees to create habitat for wildlife. & have planted thousands of jaw-dropping cute flowers.
