HOST REPORTS

Sometimes

We have 2 dogs, but keep them in the house or in the adjoining yard, which has a 5 foot fence in between; I usually put them inside the house for your visit. On the other side of the periphery fence is my neighbor's smaller female friendly dogs, and they can communicate on occasion. They usually quiet down a few minutes after their initial greeting bark, especially if you say hi : )

Description

Hi there , after parking on the outside of the gate to our property please walk through pulling the gate towards you and walk through the first Meadow and follow the signs to the sniff spot area . Please keep your dogs on a leash through the first field while we are working on improving the sniff spot area, if recall is not good. ** This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. Please note that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, right inside the second pasture on the left by the shelter. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. Please read and follow our rules for everyone's safety. Thank you and have fun!!**

Cleanliness

98% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

HOST NOTE

The first pasture you walk through IS NOT part of the Sniff Spot. Please keep pets leashed until you go through the second large gate if recall is not strong. Potential hazard and escape is possible in the first fenced area. Once inside the second area, you are completely enclosed. You may encounter sticker bushes around the periphery of the area, piles of sticks, nettles in a couple of areas, and wild animal scat. In mushroom season, we do have some mushrooms that sprout up. You will see a few molehills also. Please be careful and do not let your pups dig as this creates potential hazards for everyone. When you come through the first field, be aware that there are fence weaknesses in the first meadow you walk through to get to the Sniff Spot area. There is about a foot of clearance under the first gate you come to (where you park your car) that your pup could potentially get through. It is always a good idea to keep them leashed through the first Meadow until reaching the second Meadow where the fencing is completely intact. On the molehills, we are trying to mitigate those by using natural sounds emitted by little stakes in the ground at times. Please be careful of those stakes so you don't trip and fall and so they don't break as they are fragile. Also, in the spring, although this is not a hazard, we do have a lot of Songbird nests out in the area that you inhabit while you are here. Please be sure to keep your dogs away from these nests. Lastly, in the late summer and early fall, you may hear an occasional gunfire, although it is rare. It's not anything that we do here, but the neighbors may be practicing their second amendment or scaring predators off and there is not anything we can do about that. If your dogs are reactive, it may be best to find another spot.

Additional rules

Hello everyone, Welcome to our little piece of paradise, where dogs can roam freely, frolic about, and play!! These guidelines are in place for everyone's comfort and safety. Please read through these before you arrive so that you know what to expect. The first thing to know is that because we don't have garbage service ourselves we cannot offer that to you. For this reason, we ask that you carry in, carry out, including pet waste, toys, etc. We want to make sure our space is safe for all members and visitors. There are places to sit (for you). We have a firepit, if you'd like to build a fire (please see under extras). We have a hydrant with fresh well water over by the old claw foot tub in the second enclosed area. 1. Please open the farm gate towards you coming onto the property and open towards your vehicle going back to your vehicle. Do not open the gate towards the field, or it will be damaged. Also, please do not drive into the field. 2. Please, please, please pack it out! Including your dog's poo and bags of poo, as we do not get garbage service here, even for ourselves. 3. There are smaller friendly female neighbor's dogs (on the other side of the periphery fence) who sometimes bark, most of the time they can be quieted if you go say hi, at least that works for me, when I am playing with my dogs : ). 4. There is a hydrant and bowls next to the claw foot tub (in the larger second field) that you are welcome to use. Please use the hydrant by making sure the lever is pulled upward. Then please put handle back down when finished. 4. Have fun! 5. If I am around and your dog is not human reactive, then I may ask if I can come say hi, if you are ok with it and if I am here. : ) 6. Please, for liability reasons, we can not have anyone under the age of 18 on the premises. Thank you for honoring our things to know. 7. Please be sure to look around for any missed poo, toys, and other possessions before leaving and take with you. Again, please look around for toys, tennis size balls are dangerous for bigger dogs and can get stuck in their throat which actually happened to my dog and he almost died, so I always encourage people to use bigger balls and to make sure that they are taken with you when you leave. 8. Please do not let your dog dig. It creates unsafe conditions for everyone. Please keep an eye on them at all times. 9. Up to 6 dogs and 4 people over the age of 18 may be here at one time. 10. Please do not bring any furniture, food, any glass containers, alcohol, etc onto the premises without first getting an okay from owner. 11. We have parking for 2 cars. If more is needed, please check with owner prior to reservation to see if it is something they can accommodate. 12. If you would like a special situation for your visit, such as more people or dogs, please let me know and we may be able to accommodate. 13. Please, no one under the age of 18.

Hello, my name is Stephanie, and I have been caring for animals since I was a little girl. I have been involved with dog rescue and placement for many years. I have worked with reactive dogs before and welcome those whose pups are both people and dog reactive. For this reason, I can put my dogs inside for the time you are here. It helps if you give me a heads up : ) They would never be in the area that you are in, just in the field near our home on the other side of the fence. In other words, we are located in a pasture next to the one you will be using (where our house is). I have owned this over 5 acre piece of property for many years, and I am happy to have visitors and love providing a place where dogs can play, run free, and have fun! I am also open to having puppy play only where a few of you with puppies can come and socialize them, train them, etc. I can also host dog parties. Please let me know what you need in advance and I will try to accommodate it. We have one large fenced pasture right next to the one you walk through first, straight ahead after walking through the first main gate. The whole area is about 2 acres. Please note that our neighbor across our adjoining peripheral fence has 2 friendly little female dogs that may communicate while you are here. There are a lot of sticker bushes and brush and some trees in between so it can be hard to see them. Sometimes they bark, sometimes they don't. Also, please note that the second pasture ( the actual sniff spot area) through the second large gate is completely fenced. Throughout the summer you will see a temporary fence off to the left in the first field you walk through. Please do not let your dogs go past this fence. If they are escape artist or don't have good recall is best to just keep them on a leash through that first field you walk through to the second big gate where the sniff spot is. We have a water spigot next to the claw foot tub, for watering your pup(s). The spigot is in the second pasture. (Look left after passing through the second large farm gate). If you use the spigot, we ask that you please put the handle down after using so it doesn't freeze water in the pipe and crack. We also have a sheltered area and benches for you to use as well. Please know that although we would love to be able to have garbage for pet waste, we do not have garbage service for ourselves. Therefore, we ask our guests to please carry in, carry out, and dispose of their waste off-site. We do have wild animals that mosey on through from time to time (usually at night) and may leave scat behind, just a heads up that your pup may be interested in it. ***As a side note, since we live in a heavily treed area, rarely a tree will fall, and it may land over one of our fences. We may not be aware of it unless someone points it out. Just let us know, and we will come out and care for that. ***** Because we are a busy Sniff Spot, we do have to do regular maintenance***** Part of this is reseeding the grass. We will have those areas fenced off (with plastic fencing) and ask that you keep your pups away from those areas, so we can grow more grass for them : ) Usually this is in fall and Spring. *****Please be sure to read the rules and follow them. This is for your safety and those of your pups.*** Thanks for your reservation, and we look forward to hosting you : )

Welcome! Our place is fully fenced with mesh wire, which will keep all dogs secured. The whole 3-acre is for you to enjoy, including the fenced-in meadow/arena, front and back around the house. Most of the land is flat and accessible. There are a couple of stairs and a small slope lead to my house and the back yard. I understand the significance of providing them with a safe space to unwind. We will never come out when you are here without prior communication. There are no visible neighbors or other domestic animals nearby. It’s the perfect place for the dogs to relax and decompress. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Brutus' 2 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Woodinville

Partially Fenced
2 acres

We have 2 acres of partially fenced land. Driving up to our home you can park in the designated parking area to the left. There is a pathway that leads to the top of our hill, that provides gorgeous views and a wide open space for your pup to run free. It is secluded with giant trees surrounding the perimeter. We had a sheepdog Brutus, who loved taking walks through our property and loved sitting on the hill overlooking the land. He passed away this last year and is greatly missed. We love the idea of honoring him by opening up his favorite playground to new friends. We have 3 chickens safe in their pen. And we have 6 cats tucked safe in our home. We love animals and are excited to provide and sweet time for you and your pup. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Mark's Private Dog Park In Woodinville

Fully Fenced
0.75 acres

3/4 of an acre which is fully fenced with a 5ft black chain link fence. The property is towards the end of a dead-end lane in a peaceful setting outside of downtown Woodinville. All gates except for the main entry gate are locked. Come and let your dog (s) run, play, and sniff..... If your dog(s) would like friends to play with, I have a beagle and small goldendoodle that are social and love to play with other pups. Knock on the front door and if I am home, they can come out and play for a while.
