55My pup loved it❤️ Also, the owner was really nice allowing me to stay a few extra minutes since I came a bit late finding the directions🤣 I will definitely be going back again!!
55The field was clean, big with some hills. Good place to run my dog.
55everything was perfect :)
55Lots of space to run and explore! And we were pleasantly surprised by how little mud there was, we were mentally prepared to go home muddy. Do be cautious of the main gate if you have small dogs - our 11lb dog slipped under but there is a separate area to explore if you have a runner. The neighbor dogs were also out for the entirety of our time there, so the spot wouldn’t be ideal for a reactive dog who couldn’t handle the presence of any other dogs.
55The yard is beautiful, clean and big enough for two huskies and a German Shepherd to run and get tired in. The neighbor dogs did come over to say hi, but they didn't stick around long. A few of the brush patches had thorns but the dogs figured that out quickly and avoided them. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend!
55Quiet, spacious and plenty of spots for nose work.
55We had a great visit here! Everything is exactly as described. The first field was smaller but still fenced and nice. We spent most of our time in the second field where our dogs played with sticks and ran hard. The water was great too - thank you! The only thing that was inconvenient was no trash can for the poo but otherwise, it was perfect!
55Great place to move around. Clean and nice big trees.
55We had a great time!! I was concerned about the gap mentioned but we had three large dogs with us and they were fine! Plenty of human seating where you can still watch the dogs run and explore! Host does say there is no garbage service, but the only negative is putting a smelly poop bag in the car for the drive home. Would recommend this spot!
55Lovely space to roam!

Description

This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note however, that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. Please read and follow our rules for everyone's safety. Thank you and have fun!!

Cleanliness

98% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Sticker bushes around the periphery of the area. Piles of sticks, wild animal scat. Holes from moles, please be careful and please do not let your pups dig as this creates potential hazards for them. Lastly, when you come through the first field be aware that there are fence weaknesses near the gate that your pup could potentially get through. It is always a good idea to keep them leashed through the first Meadow until reaching the second Meadow where the fencing is completely intact. Lastly please notice that we do have some molehills and we're trying to mitigate those by using natural sounds emitted by little stakes in the ground. Please be careful of those stakes, so you don't trip and fall and so they don't break as they are fragile.

Additional rules

Hello everyone, Welcome to our little piece of paradise, where dogs can roam freely, frolic about, and play!! These guidelines are in place for everyone's comfort and safety. There are places to sit (for you). We have a firepit, if you'd like to build a fire (please see under extras) and we have a hydrant with fresh well water over by the old claw foot tub in the second enclosed area. 1. Please open farm gate towards you coming onto the property and open towards your vehicle going back to your vehicle. Do not open gate towards the field, or it will be damaged. Also, please do not drive into the field. 2. Please, please please pack it out! Including your dog's poo and bags of poo, as we do not get garbage service here. Lately, we have been seeing a lot of missed poo. 3. There are smaller friendly neighbor's dogs (on the other side of the fence) who sometimes bark, most of the time they can be quieted if you go say hi, at least that works for me, when I am playing with my dog : ). 4. There is a hydrant and bowls next to claw foot tub (in larger second field) that you are welcome to use. Please use the hydrant by making sure the lever is pulled upwards and using the red round handled spigot to fill and rinse the bowls. Then please put handle back down when finished. 4. Have fun! 5. If I am around and your dog is not human reactive, then I may come say hi, if you are ok with that and if I am here. : ) 6. Please, for liability reasons, we can not have anyone under the age of 18 on the premises. Thank you for honoring our things to know. 7. Please be sure to look around for any missed poo, toys, and other possessions before leaving and take with you. 8. Please do not let your dog dig. It creates unsafe conditions for everyone. Please keep an eye on them at all times. 9. Up to 4 dogs and 4 people over the age of 18 may be here at one time. 10. Please do not bring any furniture, food etc onto premises without first getting an okay from owner. 11. We have parking for 2 cars. If more is needed, please check with owner prior to reservation to see if it is something they can accommodate.****

Host replied: Thank you for coming out to visit Amy! Yeah, I know it's inconvenient that there is no place to dump the poo, but I don't have garbage service myself so It would just be too much of a burden to accept all that waste especially since we have become a popular spot. : )

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I have been caring for animals since I was a little girl. I have been involved with dog rescue and placement for many years. I have worked with reactive dogs before and welcome those whose pups are both people and dog reactive. For this reason, I can put my dog inside for the time you are here. It helps if you give me a heads up : ) He would never be in the area that you are in, just in the field near our home on the other side of the fence. In other words, we are located in a pasture next to the one you will be using (where our house is). I have owned this over 5 acre piece of property for many years and I am happy to have visitors and love providing a place where dogs can play, run free and have fun! I am also open to having puppy play only where a few of you with puppies can come and socialize them, train them etc. Please let me know what you need and I will try to accommodate. We have two large separately fenced pastures right next to each other that you may use.(In case you are getting your dogs used to each other or just want another space to use) . You may use both areas. The whole area is about 2 acres. Please note that our neighbor across our adjoining peripheral fence has 2 friendly little female dogs that may communicate while you are here. There are a a lot of sticker bushes and brush and some trees in between so it can be hard to see them. Sometimes they bark, sometimes they don't. Also please note that the second pasture (through the second large gate is completely fenced). The first pasture has some areas they could get out if they really tried. Even so, we have no major roads around here, so they would end up on the gravel driveway surrounding the entry gate. If your dog is an escape artist, it may be best to just keep them leashed until you enter the second pasture : ) We have a water spigot next to the claw foot tub, for watering your pup(s). The spigot is in the second pasture. (Look left after passing through the second large farm gate). If you use the spigot, we ask that you please put the handle down after using so it doesn't freeze water in the pipe and crack. We also have a sheltered area in both meadows for you to use as well. We do not have garbage service, therefore we ask our guests to please carry in, carry out and dispose of their waste off site. We do have wild animals that mosey on through from time to time (usually at night) and may leave scat behind, just a heads up that your pup may be interested in it. ***As a side note, since we live in a heavily treed area, sometimes a tree will fall and it may land over one of our fences. We may not be aware of it, unless someone points it out. Just let us know and we will come out and care for that. *** ** Because we are a busy Sniff Spot, we do have to do maintenance. Part of this is reseeding the grass. We will have those areas fenced off (with plastic fencing) and ask that you keep your pups away from those areas, so we can grow more grass for them : ) Usually this is in late Winter and Spring. ** ***Please be sure to read the rules and follow them. This is for your safety and those of your pups.*** Thanks for your reservation and we look forward to hosting you : )
