55Gorgeous return trip! The trails were VERY well marked and we loved finding the winding paths through the forest. What a beautiful way to spend Earth Day! Thank you!

Location

Yelm, Washington

Description

Old logging trial is the center of the property with wild animal trails branching off the logging trail which are easy to walk and provides a huge amount of wildlife smells for your dogs.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Lots of bees in late summer months! Less bee risk while on designated trails, but you need to know this risk. Natural nettles and berry bushes. We try to keep most branches clipped back for easy walking. Bear with me on a very busy continuous clearing of shrubs and small branches on the trails. I am sure most dogs don't mind too much. The logging trail should never be driven on by your car, and the cable should remain in place please. The forest (not a usual housing neighborhood) has wetlands & streams in the rainy season. Expect standing water on some trails. PLEASE NOTE: Zero tolerance for smoking of ANYTHING while on our property! This is a 40-acre forest 🌳 You may smoke in your own personal vehicle. But also, do NOT leave your dogs unattended.

Large 1/3 acre lot, perfect to chuck it far and tire out your canine.

Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Any suggestions on obstacles or improvements please message me. Thanks for considering enjoying canine time here!
