Secure 5' woven wire fencing surrounds this quiet 1/2‑acre pasture. It's great for playing fetch, playing/sniffing/running around, recall work, or structured training sessions. No animals border the fence, and distractions are minimal aside from the occasional passerby. The space is open, calm, and safe for dogs who need room and predictability. You’ll find a dog water station inside the gate. At your bench/chairs you'll find clean water bowls, poop bags, and a disposal bucket. We have reserved a parking spot for you with a sign. If you're with friends we can accommodate another car. Peaceful, private, and ideal for dogs to work or unwind with confidence. ARRIVAL AND DIRECTIONS Enter private gate: Look for the gate explicitly marked "Sniff Entrance." Follow the path: Walk along the path that leads around the shed. Head to lake: Follow that trail straight down to the water. Avoid main house: Please do not approach the main house or deck. Respect privacy: Keeping to the lower yard ensures a private space. Waste & Trash Policy: Clean up poop: Pick up all dog waste immediately. Bring your bags: Please bring your own waste bags to the spot. Pack it out: Take all trash and waste home with you. We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

Enjoy this beautiful rugged forest on our 100 year old Heritage Farm located on Point Fosdick near the Narrows Bridge. This working farm has orchards, crops, honeybees, livestock, children, dogs, barn cats & poultry. So it is very important that dogs are leashed and under control during the short trail walk from the farm stand parking area, past the historic barn to the gated forest sniff spot entrance. Trail is well marked with rope, arrows and signage. Approx 200 feet from parking to forest gated entrance. Follow Paw Print Pallets & Sniff Spot Signs. Property is 10 acres total with Sniff Spot space covering approx 3 rugged native forested acres and backing up to large green belt. Area is partially fenced with six foot welded wire to the south and east. No access to roadways. Partial natural barrier on north side with open forest and deep creek ravine to the west. Property backs up to protected green belt and adjoining private forested properties covering many acres of woods with abundant wildlife. IMPORTANT: Dogs must have good recall. There is abundant wildlife along the deep ravine including deer, coyote, bear, owls, hawks, eagles etc. So please use caution and ensure your pet has good recall when off leash. Keep close eye on small dogs. If visiting with children, please be sure to keep them close. South West corner has yard waste compost drop off to creek ravine, area is well marked with a log and signage. Please use only Sniff Spot gated entrance/exit, as all other cattle gates must remain closed at all times. Forested space has plenty of sun and shade with 2 human benches, dog toys, fresh hose water, bowls and a stick library, along with garbage cans and dog baggies for cleaning up after your visit. Two vehicle spaces only per visit, as 3rd space is reserved for resident farmer. Please drive slow & carefully on shared gravel easement driveway when entering and leaving farm property. We are open daily 8am - 8pm closed on Tuesday & Thursdays. Hope you and your pup enjoy your visit!🐾

We'd like to share the enjoyment we've had with our dogs on the trails & training areas. As well as the designated run & play area. For your first scheduled time please pull up to the gate with the yellow horse, Xing sign on it & text me upon arrival. Welcome to Above The Danger Homestead, future site of A-D (pronounced A Bar D) Meats. I have 3 acres of natural grass and trees that is fully fenced for your canine best friend(s). I have no intention of putting any livestock on the back 3 so I figured I would share with you all. You will feel fairly secluded from the world here on the homestead where all you'll see or hear is primarily the residents of this piece of land, and even then, we are fairly busy and quiet. This spot is just getting set-up, but my goal is to make this the premier private dog park in the Orting area. We are up in the hills out of the valley where wildlife roams freely. We have almost daily deer sightings as well as they like to bed down in the trees and tall grass. I welcome your feedback on what amenities you would like to have you come back time after time again.
