Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Any suggestions on obstacles or improvements please message me. Thanks for considering enjoying canine time here!

Wonderlane

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 65-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 8 or 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far right and left over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. At the very bottom, the trails lead to a creek, on the left. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, and a cliff, and creek on the other. The lower part that connects to the creek area is not fenced. Note: that ‘Elephant Walk’ of wood rounds to the Creek is intended for dogs not people - it’s muddy - use at your discretion. The safer option is to the south. Bring more than one dog, if possible, because they love to chase each other around the switchback trails. This forest was clear-cut between 65 to 100 years ago and not replanted. So we replanted our forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, and Pacific Northwest duff with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared it as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest, occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, mice, raccoons, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are here, starlings, chickadees, woodpeckers, hawks, and American Bald Eagles. There are moles thus mole holes because it is a delightfully rugged private area so you must be careful where you step until you get used to the signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest 1 mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. Garbage is available on the way out under the Big Leaf Maple tree at the driveway in the large gray bin marked "Garbage". The creek is accessible over an embankment, also is part of the property, use at your discretion. We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it soon! 2 Starbucks less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) P.S. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may wish keep your pup leashed until you are safely at the top of the path. When departing, on either side of the trails, at the top you can pause to leash your dog if you wish.

So fun! Plenty of trails to explore and interesting smells for the dogs. Would recommend more than hour if you can do it to give your dog enough time. Will definitely return!

Excellent adventure for my dogs. One of our pups is still working on recall and this was a perfect place to practice with a 50 foot lead. We plan on visiting again! There is other animal scat- on of my pups ate some. The host already shared that you can hear gun fire. Our dogs are fine with fire works and guns but if your dog isn’t okay with loud bangs it might be stressful.

This property is so much fun! My dogs went nuts and ran and played and my stick obsessed probably thought she landed in heaven. If you’re coming from Tacoma please make sure to give yourself plenty of time as it’s deeper in the cuts of yelm and not yelm city limits. Wear sturdy shoes that are weather resistant because some areas are swampy but still worth walking through. Small game trails are properly marked along the forest service road. Extend your hour by a half hour and run all the trails with your dogs. Great place to test your dogs recall and how far you can get before they come back unless of course there’s a beautiful stick that your dog wants ;)

This was such a wonderful visit for my pups. They really loved discovering all the small trails that branched off the main logging road. It was such a unique experience for them. I would highly recommend this spot.

Always a wonderful place to explore - the dogs love it. Lots of smells and textures and an occasional deer sighting makes for very happy and tired Border collies. Bring good mud boots so you can fully explore - this is beautiful land to wander

Though far from where we live (we happened to be in the area this weekend), we would definitely revisit. The land is beautiful and lots of trail options. Our pup loved it!

I love this spot! Not just because the owner is very kind and let me know there is fresh water out and toys, but there’s horses! My puppy did the play bow to the horse and wanted to play!!

The horse pasture was pure joy for my girly. She loved playing with her jolly ball in it today! The horse's we're great also and it was a good leaning/training session as well for my girl. Even though she really didn't notice them much unless I got closes to them. If you don't care about a little pooh on your paws and boots the area was great for an hr of kick ball or fetch. And for just getting your pup used to a new animal. The place was very well kept up Allard all definitely a redo for us!

December 2022
Was a very nice size yard to run the 4 dogs in. Gates are livestock gates so my two small dogs had to stay in the car. Also the horses are not scared of the dogs so they were interested and came up to the fencing. My personal dogs were not ok with the horses so close so our visit was very short. Host was amazing in communication though!

Place is really easy to find. It’s nice and spacious for ball throwing and running the distance. There were also a few toys to use. There were two beautiful calm horses who didn’t react to our crazy pups. Be wary if you have a small runner, as they could fit through the main entrance. Overall 10/10 definitely a great place to run around with your pups!

This fully fenced property was perfect for our two large dogs. Plenty of toys and water. Owners are very polite and easy to talk to, even giving us some recommendations for our dogs. We will definitely be going back in the near future.

I couldn’t figure out how to get the gate open and the hosts came and helped out. They were very nice. It was a great location with more than enough space for the dogs to run. I’ve never had the space for my dogs to run full speed so it was fun for the humans and the dogs!

We had a great time here. The host was worried about the tall pasture grass but my dog loved searching thru it. Not muddy at all even though we’ve had tons of heavy rain.  There are cows next door, that was a new experience but proved to be an awesome training opportunity.  The fencing along the cow side is just barbed wire, so I’m sure if your dog is super prey driven towards these cows or the chickens in the distance, this could be a problem. It wasn’t for us at all.
