The dogs had a blast running through the woods but I only gave 4 stars today because there was a dog running loose that freaked mine out some and also the river is very high—there’s no beach at all so if your dog is running down the path to the river like mine was, they may end up in the river before they know it. If you go this week, I advise leashing your dogs as you get close to the river. Its very swift and dangerous.
Super fun. The detailed instructions were very helpful. Lots of dead fish by the river, which was of great interest to my pup. Keep in mind that it's a 10-15 min walk to the river if you park at the beginning of the field.
Fun spot for dogs to run and play by the river. There was more on-leash time than expected, but worth it! Will be back for sure.
Love, love, love this spot! It is so incredibly beautiful and offers not only a beautiful river and forest, but also a delightful walk along a pasture. We did drive up to a spot where there was a big dip in the road and thought that was as far as we were to go. With the rains, the dirt road portion was pretty muddy and my car was sliding considerably despite having AWD and all terrain tires. I think next time we will park by the barn and enjoy our walk towards the river. There were folks fishing quite a ways downstream with a pup, however, my very reactive dog didn’t even see or care about them. Host was kind, and provided me with a detailed map, which was very helpful. We look forward to placing this gorgeous spot in our rotation, and visiting again and again.
This place is beautiful and so expansive. My pup and her friends loved it! The woods are far from the entrance, so those who do not drive down may spend a while with leashed pups. But I say it's worth it!
Love the Ranch, my pups always have so much fun exploring and playing.
Amazing spot, would love to make this a regular visit! Our dogs love water so it was great to get one in before the cold hits!
Another fantastic day at the ranch for Ziba and Maggie. Lots and lots of running, dead salmon to roll in (I regret allowing that now that we’re home), eagles overhead, and a shallow river to explore.
We love this spot. Its absolutely gorgeous. nice and secluded. FYI, It takes about 10-15 min to get to the river once you park, so plan on factoring in a few extra minutes to your stay.
We had an amazing time! Our dogs just loved playing in the river and walking along the river bank. We even saw several fish jumping out of the water, which really intrigued my dogs. It was awesome to be able to visit a spot like this and have the whole side of the river to yourself. Thanks for sharing your space. 🥰
