These camps are cherished family properties, and due to shoreline regulations, a camp lost to fire likely could not be rebuilt in its current location. • Chairs are out by the docks. If you want to bring your own for the little beach area pls feel free! • Water is on! Spigot on side of camp for your use. • Please remember to carry out all dog waste if metal trash can not present. Do not put in our general trash. If your pup poops well into the woods you can leave it :) ⸻ Open year-round, this private 5+ acre Sniffspot offers plenty of room to roam, explore, and swim on a beautiful peninsula extending into Balch Lake. Park at the top of the hill and enjoy a scenic walk down, giving your pup a true “Sniffari” experience along the way. At the end, you’ll be rewarded with peaceful lake views and a perfect spot for your dog to splash, swim, and play. Prefer not to walk? You’re welcome to drive directly down to the lake access area. This property is unfenced but very private, with the peninsula providing a natural barrier and minimal outside traffic. Please note: • The access road is sand and gravel. Sturdy footwear is recommended if walking. • Recent rain can create some ruts, and the road is due for grading. • SUVs and trucks are recommended for driving down the hill. • Sedans can typically make it down as well (ours does!), but please use your best judgment based on road conditions. • Balch Lake is a shared lake, and you may see boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and dogs accompanying boaters on the water. • Sound can carry across the lake, making people or dogs seem closer than they actually are. • As with any unfenced property, please ensure your dog has reliable recall or keep them leashed based on your comfort level and your dog’s abilities. In those conditions, guests without an SUV or truck may prefer to park at the top of the hill and walk down. • This is a rustic, camp-like setting. Expect natural terrain, including brush, vegetation, uneven ground, and occasional fallen trees or branches following storms. • We continuously work to maintain the property, but vegetation management is balanced with protecting the shoreline and minimizing erosion. • Near the parking area, you may occasionally see stacked pallets, brush piles awaiting removal, or our boat trailer during the summer season. • There is still ample room for guest parking, even when these items are present. Thank you for appreciating this property for what it is—a private, natural lakeside retreat rather than a manicured park. We hope you and your pup enjoy exploring it!

These camps are beloved family properties that have been enjoyed for generations. Due to current environmental and shoreline regulations, if a camp were lost to fire, it likely could not be rebuilt in its current location. Thank you for helping us protect this special place. • Please respect our beloved loons and other wildlife. Balch Lake is home to nesting loons, which are treasured by residents and visitors alike. Please do not approach loons, allow your dog to chase them, or otherwise disturb them. Guests should remain at least 100 feet away whenever possible. Protecting these beautiful birds and their habitat is extremely important to our family and lake community. • All camps, decks, porches, sheds, and other buildings are strictly off-limits. Please enjoy the grounds, shoreline, and docks only. • The docks may be used and are a wonderful place to enjoy the lake. Please use caution, as the rocks and lake entry areas near the front dock can be slippery, especially when wet. • During the summer season, metal receptacles are available for bagged dog waste only. Please do not place household trash or other items in these containers. • This is otherwise a carry-in, carry-out property. Please take all trash, food containers, bottles, and personal items with you when you leave. • As this is an unfenced property, dogs should have reliable recall or remain leashed at their owner’s discretion. Enjoyable farm fields with lots of room for dogs to roam and play. Wildlife does show up at times, anywhere from deer, turkeys, skunks and porcupines. Our main field does abut a golf course, and often get stray balls fly over the fence into our field. To avoid being hit by one, I’d recommend staying more towards the middle to right of the field. During deer season we do require the owner and dog to be wearing orange, and don’t have guests come on Saturdays. We do hay our fields in the summer (May/June-September) time, and once that begins we will set up a schedule with specific areas that can be utilized.

Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway in the winter. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends and most weekdays too. Center of property tends to be wet. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals.
