Wonderful property and great views! Nice walking paths.
Maybe useful for on-leash exposure to livestock animals for training purposes, but this spot is NOT going to be appropriate for MOST dogs. There are chickens and horses housed within the spot behind fencing that wouldn’t prevent an interested dog from entering, and an aggressive cat that followed us and swatted at both myself and my dog for getting close. This is all right up against a busy road. The spot itself is small and close to the house, there were even people in the driveway. Luckily I was with my old girl who wouldn’t hurt a fly, but I don’t think there are many other dogs that could safely enjoy this spot. Even we didn’t stay our whole time.
Host replied: I was at work when this reservation was made, and it was very last minute. I did not know you would be here until after you had left. This IS NOT a fenced spot, per the listing details. While we are okay with dogs being off leash, it’s up to the owners discretion to know if their dog can handle being on or off leash in this situation. We do ask for respect of the animals, and mention that they live here in the listing. So if someone has a dog with prey drive they are more than welcome to walk the path ON leash. As for my family in the driveway, I cannot have them just wait to leave until you’re done, especially with a reservation made so last minute. They had an appointment to get to.
