Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. Take a break at the top of the first hill and relax in the hammock, taking in the peaceful nature around you. This is a great spot to bring a snack or picnic! We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.

This yard was perfect for us and our big puppy. The yard is smallish, but she had lots of room to run and sniff and explore, and we had nice, comfortable chairs to sit in while she zoomed around the yard. The house was very easy to find and easy to access. There were even a couple of balls we were welcome to use. Communication with the owner was swift and easy. And the price was so reasonable. Definitely worth it. We will be back.

This is only my 2nd sniffspot experience… the yard was as described. It was perfect to play fetch with my medium size tennis ball loving mutt. Host communicates well and promptly! Very gracious host; gave my Daisy some water. Yard is on the smaller side but very cozy with comfy chairs.

When we went in the backyard with our dog for the first time we thought the view should be in an issue of Better Homes and Gardens. The lot is very clean and manicured meticulously. Your dog will love it!

Fun! Our dogs loved to run and explore this very large beautiful yard with so many interesting areas. This is the largest area they have ever been able to run free and explore. Lots of wooded areas for shade and grass area to chase a ball.

We had a lovely visit to Bailey’s Sniffspot. Our puppy is reactive to cars on leash when walking so I wasn’t sure how she would react to the highway traffic but figured it might provide a good training opportunity. She took absolutely no notice of the cars and was busy running here and there exploring to her hearts content. There is lots of shade and different areas to sniff around. The yard is beautifully landscaped and we plan to return. Thanks so much for sharing your yard as a Sniffspot!

Dogs and humans enjoyed this space. Our two dogs had enough room for some serious chase and were tuckered out afterwards. The yard is well groomed, excellent shade, and a joy to be in. Thank you

Spacious backyard with room to run. I knew I was in the right place because there was red pigs in the backyard and I saw them in other photos.

We had a really great time here! Caliber had so much fun. The place was clean and it was so peaceful. Unfortunately, the day we went was when it had rained so it was a little wet but our dog enjoyed playing so much and so did we :) We will definitely come back again! We forgot to take pictures as we were so immersed in playing. But will definitely do it the next time :)

A little deceiving from the outside (I forgot to refresh my memory with the reviews) as it’s in a subdivision, but upon entering it’s a great yard! Fully fenced with a nice little patio with some chairs and a deck that out Ziggy explored for a bit. The sun was shining during the late morning/afternoon which was a nice perk! Our Z isn’t startled by traffic / noises, but it is next to M14. Would come back again!

The host is super friendly and accommodating, and the space is really nice with varied little areas of landscaping, lots of fun for dogs to explore! And it's a good long space for fetch, too.

Lovely lot with secure fencing and mature established trees. Good for hide and seek, running around and quality sniffs! I enjoyed that the yard was not just a giant square but had different areas for exploration.

There is significant traffic noise but that’s the only nit I have to pick about this wonderful spot. There are varied areas that are great for sniffing and a nice run through the middle of it all for fetch. Thank you for sharing.

This was my first Sniffspot visit. It was a good experience! Daisy enjoyed the big yard, chasing tennis balls, and laying under shade trees. The yard is lovely with pretty landscaping and plenty of open grassy area. I noticed some poison ivy in the very back of the yard but this wasn’t a problem.

We had a great time! Plenty of space for Stitch to run around and sniff everything possible. The backyard is beautiful and clean and there’s plenty of shade in warmer days. Didn’t see any problems with the fencing so felt very secure!

Lovely yard, lots of trees and things for the dogs to sniff around. Didn’t realize it was so close to the highway, but that’s entirely my fault for not checking the map beforehand. One of my dogs is usually quite afraid of the sound of busy roads, but this was an unexpected opportunity to get him more comfortable with the noises while distracting him with a game of fetch with his favorite ball - he wasn’t bothered by the road at all!

Beautiful, large backyard. It feel totally safe for my 60+ pound rescue whose manners are just developing. Nice mix of shade and sun and plenty of room for a rigorous game of fetch. Easy to get in and out and easy, close parking. There are spots where it's harder to see your dog - my only concern was that I would miss a poop, not that he would be able to escape. Definitely will return.
