Description

Our spot was designed and built specifically to help keep pets home. We are a search and rescue that deals with hard cases and know what its like to have dogs that can’t be around other dogs, animals or people. This spot is dedicated to those dogs in an effort to help keep them active and happy at home so their families don’t have to give them up. All proceeds from this sniffspot go directly to I Paw’d It Forward to continue serving our mission to keep families together.

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

The pasture is pasture, can be lumpy from tractor grooves. The winter months bring a TON of rain and make it very wet, and swampy back there. Definitely wear waterproof mucks or boots if you have them and being a towel for your pup to clean up before getting back in your car 🚗 😀

My girls love visiting this Sniffspot. Winter weather means mud and puddles, so be sure to wear good boots and bring extra towels to wipe off muddy feet, if you're so inclined!

Host replied: Thank you!!! We are adding a wash station WITH towels to help people out :)

My dogs love it here! Safe space for them to run and play.

Great space! A bit muddy today but my dog loved it!

What a fun location. Our pup had a special day frolicking in the water & mud. Had to take her to a dog wash after, but totally worth it. Also, a beautiful drive in. We will be back!

As always, lots of fun. Bring mud boots, it is muddy with parts of standing water after all that rain we were having in this area. Nothing that can be done about this in this season. The 'oily' substance mentioned by a previous visitor is from the soil, it's not oil https://askanaturalist.com/what-is-this-oily-sheen-on-the-marsh/

Pros: spacious, toys available, private and fenced in. Cons: no agility equipment as mentioned in listing, no rain covers, almost all of the terrain was flooded, there was an oil substance spilled throughout the flooded grass water, there is a hose on the fence but no way to use it to rinse off the oil/mud from the dogs or refill water Overall this was a nice big space and if it was like the listing it would have been perfect. Maybe in the summer when it hasn’t rained within the week it would be better. There was just no way to even play fetch because the balls were lost in the middle of the field due to so much flooding. The oil as also very concerning and should be addressed.

Host replied: The agility equipment is an extra. We do not leave it out. We do not state we have rain covers in our description, because we don’t. The hose was off because we have been freezing at night, and someone thought it would be kind to steal the hose nozzle, and we have not got a chance to replace it. We have shade sails for sun in the summer. There is no oil substance. What you saw was the leeching from the hog fuel we received. Hog fuel is shredded trees and shrubs. We are in this field every day. I am sorry you felt that way, and wish you would have contacted us before writing a bad review. The middle of the field is not flooded, it is swampy, for sure. Hope you find a spot that fits your needs. We do our best here.

This is my favorite Sniffspot! We’ve come about 4 or 5 times now and can’t get enough! It’s definitely still a bit flooded and muddy which isn’t a huge deal for us but your babies will definitely need a good bath after lol

I cannot say enough good things about the times we have spent at this spot. It has been truly enriching for my husband and I, our dogs, and our relationship amongst all four of us. They are still young rowdy boys, they are both working breeds, and we are first time dog owners. The amount of trust building, command practice, and full speed long distance running Paw'd It Forward has provided us is something I am so thankful for. Being able to practice building handler confidence with our dogs and have time specifically for them to just be dogs without distraction is such a gift. They sleep better, they listen better, and they just seem all around more peaceful day to day. They love the splish splash of the pasture and they get so dirty that we have also been able to practice desensitization for baths when we return home and their progress is outstanding. If you're looking for a safe place to build trusting relationships and confidence with your dog(s) that don't seem capable off leash in more public spaces I highly recommend this spot for that reason and many others. Not to mention the pantry is so cute and clever. It's all so great, I tell anyone with a dog all about it whenever it comes up. 🥰

As always, we thoroughly enjoy coming here. Just wanted to mention, since it is winter, wear boots and be prepared for muddy watery puddles. My big boy had a blast running and splashing and laying in said areas. Lol!

Thank you for maintaining a mulch walkway along the perimeter of your property. My pup can play in the middle while I walk along the edge. Much appreciated!

Host replied: That is a fabulous photo!!! ❤️❤️❤️
