55A fantastic sniff spot! The fence is tall and sturdy, and our 10 month old lab mix had an absolute blast realizing she could zoom down the orchard rows, scramble up the tall boulder, and leap through the goldenrod patches! It was her first time at a sniff spot, and our first time at one so large, and it was wonderful For the anxious dog parents out there - the entirety of the fence is pretty much visible if you're standing in the middle of the field - the rise and fall of the ground + the grasses mean you can't *always* see your pup but It's the perfect size to let your dog run around and not feel like they can get too far out of view! They have a patch of more wild growing goldenrod and grasses in one corner which can be nerve-wracking if your dog isn't very tall, but the fence is all very secure and our pup loved bounding through it for the first time like a little deer! The directions to the entrance can seem like they're not that clear, but once you're there, they're perfectly in line with what you see as you're walking to the gate, so do not worry! There are a million crickets to chase, but somehow we had 0 issues with ticks, despite dressing for it and keeping an eye out as we frolicked through the tall grass and goldenrod in the wilder corner (:
55We loved our visit!! It was very private and serene, our very reactive dogs loved being able to "run free" in the safe, fenced in enclosure! We know off leash time in a peaceful setting is so important to them, so this location is a gem!! We loved it and cant wait to come back!
55Wow, what an amazing experience. This is a huge space, fully fenced, which includes open space, tall brush, and a small wooded area. My dog loved running free through all of it. He had the time of his life. We also played fetch for a while and he loved hunting for the ball in the tall brush. We both had a lot of fun. We're going back tomorrow.
55This place is absolutely gorgeous and an absolute gold mine for the Sniffspot community :-) thank you so much, we will be regulars!! This is an absolutely giant field, filled with little Orchard saplings and baby trees, smiley face, lots of room to run and Rome and it’s fenced in so we felt completely safe! My Doggo is reactive to other dogs, so it was really amazing to be able to see her relax and have fun . We really enjoyed sitting under the little section with the trees and boulders while the rain was really coming down too.

Description

All dogs welcome in the orchard. Come enjoy the beauty and openness of a fully fenced secluded apple orchard surrounded by beautiful trees on all sides. 5 min away from downtown Blue Hill. On Route 177- very easy to find! Please bring your own water. There is no bathroom facility. There is a great rock to sit on in the trees in this orchard, but I will getting a bench soon. This fenced in area is surrounded by forest and there are critters like skunk, porcupine, and deer. I have only seen the former two at dusk- but always be careful when entering and exiting and scan the orchard before entering. Brand new sniff spot :) appreciate any feedback and reviews! Enjoy
