Not every dog loves the dog park — and that’s okay! If Arko Dog Park isn’t the right fit, try a private play session in the WHS Sniffspot area. Nestled near our trails, this wide-open space is perfect for dogs who prefer room to run, sniff, and explore on their own. With gratitude to Mountain Fence and Deck for enclosing the space, this area was once the yard for our Diamond Dog program, where dogs practiced their manners while living in a home-like setting on campus. Even better, your dog’s play helps support the lifesaving mission of Watauga Humane Society.

Boone and Blowing Rock are about an hour from this location. Cell service is non-existent at the site but available at the main entrance. Wi-Fi is available for an additional charge; hi-speed and reliable for streaming and/or working remote.
