Sturdy footwear is recommended if walking. • Recent rain can create some ruts, and the road is due for grading. • SUVs and trucks are recommended for driving down the hill. • Sedans can typically make it down as well (ours does!), but please use your best judgment based on road conditions. • Balch Lake is a shared lake, and you may see boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and dogs accompanying boaters on the water. • Sound can carry across the lake, making people or dogs seem closer than they actually are. • As with any unfenced property, please ensure your dog has reliable recall or keep them leashed based on your comfort level and your dog’s abilities. Lots of room to run and play ball or frisbee! Pond can be used by the dogs at your discretion. Pond is not treated or tested but my dogs used to get in it. There are turtles, frogs, geese (please chase the geese away!), ducks and maybe other wildlife at the pond too. Separately there is 40 acres of woods. See the map I drew in the photos.
