PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF BEARS! I have had a bear in the back yard once or twice, they can jump fences! If you need a better idea of where it is, it's within walking distance of the East Asheville Farmer's Market, Library, Fire Department, and Wells Fargo. I'm also close to Bull Mountain Rd. A few Announcements: While I make every effort to ensure that other guests have cleaned up after their dogs, I have occasionally been informed that they have not. So I must now update the description accordingly. I welcome you to partake of my beautiful backyard in a peaceful neighborhood- as long as you are aware it is possible there is occasional dog poo. Also be advised that if you are extremely sensitive to poison ivy, be aware there may be some in some parts of the yard. If your dog is a curious sort, be aware that there is some yard equipment being stored under the deck and this area is open and not blocked off. I cannot anticipate every guest's need, but I am happy to offer my yard for a small fee to those who understand what is being offered. Thank you! Please clean up after your dog! Recommendations: 2) If you book an evening time, be prepared with a flashlight, or know when the sun sets. I have outside lights, but I can't guarantee they will always be on, and they don't illuminate the whole yard. The space: A wide open space with rolling hills for your dogs to play, while you enjoy the view. *The sprinkler is actually a garden hose that is a "soaker" hose. It sprays water out of it like a sprinkler. There are plenty of sticks you can throw for the dog to fetch. (The location is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 minutes to Downtown Asheville, and close to the Folk Art Center. The newly renovated Haw Creek library and playground, Creekside Tavern, and High Five Coffee are just down the street. You can also walk to the Haw Creek Farmer's Market from here on Fridays, 3-6 pm. You can walk straight from to the Mountain to Sea trail from here without having to drive, and hike to Lunchbox rock (seen in pictures here.) I included the porch pictures so you could see the sunset. :) ) There is hand sanitizer, sunblock and bug spray under the stairs, under the side of the bottom step that you are welcome to use.i

We've removed a couple of tiny houses but otherwise it is as as depicted in the video. With slight changes based on season. We have 9.5 acres of pristine mountain glory We have a large unfenced Field, Shallow Creek with some small waterfalls, a spring that feeds a tiny pond, a large cleared Homesite that's away from the road moderate to difficult trails and beautiful views. The trails are moderate until you come to the areas that we had landslides, at which point, you can turn around or enjoy the difficulty it presents. Sometimes I or other guests may be on property. Welcome to Pibble Hill! The top pasture of this small farm is available for dogs to sniff and exercise. Sometimes there will be farm animal smells, horses and goats, and wild turkeys, rabbits and deer may also visit. My neighbor has a friendly small dog who is sometimes out in their fenced yard, but she is usually good about bringing him in if someone is in the sniff spot. There is a nice hill to tire everyone out, and a pretty view of my little farm. If you sit at the top and throw balls down the hill your dogs will get very tired! There is a trash can, bags, picnic table, a swing, a table and chairs, a fire pit chairs, a splashing trough, a dog toy box, and a hose. You can pull right in through the double red gates and close them behind you, to leave my neighbors room to drive past. This will also ensure your dogs don't escape from the sniff spot when you open the car doors. There is a large horse water trough, feel free to dump it and refill it if you need to (and if you're strong enough!) Please have fun with the dog toys - if your dog tears one up just toss out the stuffing or pieces. That's just what dogs do! I'm recovering from surgery (May/June 2026) so I'd appreciate it if you'd do an extra walk around before you leave to double check for poop - it's a bit hard for me to climb the hill just yet.

Dogwood Acres: 3 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Space In Mars Hill

Enjoy a peaceful space in Mars Hill located on an active hobby farm. Our Sniffspot is fully enclosed with no-climb, 4ft goat fencing and includes walking paths. Easy access from the main road with a small graveled parking space right in front of the Sniffspot entrance. As most properties in Mars Hill, the acreage is located on a hillside, it may be steep for some. Your dog can play near the creek at the bottom of the slope which is more flat and shaded or take a short hike along the path to the top and enjoy amazing mountain views while your pup plays in the pasture! We do have chickens, goats, sheep and pigs that remain in their separate fenced in pasture, but occasionally the chickens may roam in the parking area, so please be aware.

Beautiful fields and woods for as far as the eye can see. Trails cut in the woods, trails cut through the fields. There is literally a trail I mow that winds all the way around the property. You can walk a sunny trail or a shady trail...my wife and I walk this trail with our six...yes you read that correctly SIX dogs just about every day. We are so lucky to call this home..I thought why not share it with you guys.

Welcome to the Wet Spot! Designed by dogs for dogs our 1.4 acre fully fenced play area features a 1/2 acre swim pond, dock, sand dig pit, grassy open areas, and a shaded pavilion. Our pond is regularly tested for Cyanobacteria (blue green algae).
