Description

Ruff 'n Rugged's 40 acre dog park is perfect for high drive, high energy dogs. This is a great location to work on your off leash training. It has a neatly mowed area of approximately 2 acres, a mowed, well marked trail which is about 1/2 mile long, with the remainder of the area in native grasses and vegetation. On any visit you may see cottontail rabbits, jack rabbits, pronghorn antelope and other wildlife native to this area. The parking area is a good distance from the entrance so you can unload and load your dogs safely without having to worry about traffic. We have a great view of Pikes Peak, well away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet, peaceful & relaxing. You will enjoy your visit just as much as your dogs.

Dog Training, 30 min lesson75 credits

We have been training dogs for more than 45 years, and still training. If you are having behavioral problems, reactive issues, your dog doesn't come when called or you just need a little guidance, we're here to help. Just add the "Dog Training" extra when you make your reservation. We look forward to helping you.

Long line rental1 credit

Do you need a long line for your next visit to our 40 dog park. We have 20' - 25' long lines available. When you reserve a long line, it will be at the parking area with your name attached. When you are finished, just leave it at the parking area.

Retrieving bumper rental1 credit

Retrieving bumpers are a great way to give your dog retrieving & exercise, as well as satisfying their retrieve drive. We will put a bucket 'o bumpers at the parking spot. When you leave just return the bumpers and bucket where you picked them up. All bumpers are washed after each dog uses them.

The entire area is fully fenced so you can relax while your dog explores. You’ll find poop bags and a trash bucket provided, and there is plenty of space to wander at your own pace. My own dogs are small dachshunds, so I pay attention to secure fencing and safe access for small dogs as well as large dogs. This is also a great property for training gundogs or bird dogs. With wide open space, varied terrain, and natural distractions, it's perfect for practicing recall, obedience, and fieldwork-style training.
