551 million times better than I expected, not that I expected anything bad lol but it was so cool. There was a dog that looked like a mix between a blue healer and pitbull. He was super cute and friendly, but my dog didn’t wanna play or run around because he was so focused on the other dog. I’m a dog lover but I didn’t know if that other dog was someone’s or a stray or what and so I didn’t really want him to close to my puppy, and when it was time to leave the dog was still waiting on my puppy and was afraid of people and barked at me a few times, then he circled our car when we were trying to leave and was running along side of it, it was a little nerve wracking because we didn’t want to accidentally hit it with our car while trying to leave. But other than that it was a great experience. I’ll add a picture of the dog, hopefully he has home. :)

Description

Welcome to the Wet Spot! Designed by dogs for dogs our 1.4 acre fully fenced play area features a 1/2 acre swim pond, dock, sand dig pit, rocky stream, grassy open areas, and a shaded pavilion. Feel free to bring your own SUP or kayak! The Wet Spot is a great place to work on paddle training. Our pond is regularly tested for Cyanobacteria (blue green algae).

Directions: The Wet Spot is located on Lollis Rd in Candler, NC. Turning on to Lollis, the Wet Spot is the second driveway on your left, with black fencing with brown screening and a gate. Please park either in the driveway or just inside the gated area. Clean up after your dog! Keeping our water clean is a top priority. While our pond is fed from a clean spring, it is not intended for human use so enter the water at your own risk. -No digging in areas other than the sand pit. -No children allowed in the water areas. -No moving or stacking rocks from stream area. -Feel free to use the paddle boat, but please cover it with the tarp before leaving. -Close the gate when leaving. Enjoy!!

Welcome to Pondside Paws Park, located in a quiet valley 15 minutes outside of downtown Asheville NC. Here you will find a peaceful, fully fenced in half acre lot with a pond for your pups to swim, romp, sniff, play and have a great time. For those more adventurous dogs, there's even a dock for jumping into the pond! There are opportunities for enjoying the pond regardless of your dog's age or exercise ability, as there is a shallow area with tall grass for wading and splashing, and a deeper area for swimming. The slope of the land is gentle for those older dogs as well- this spot is suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities. For the humans, we have several seating options including a picnic table and 4 chairs under a shade sail. Bug spray, sunscreen, fresh drinking water for the dogs and a tote full of toys is also provided in the weatherproof storage shed next to the seating area. Waste bags are available if needed, although we appreciate people bringing their own, and there is a waste container located at the entrance, next to the kiddie pool that is used to rinse off muddy paws. It's recommended that you bring a towel to dry them off before getting back into your car. We hope you enjoy the spot and leave it as you found it for others to enjoy as well.
