Fully fenced in private dog “park” at our residence. This is located in our private neighborhood at our home, being respectful is appreciated. We welcome all furry friends and have no discrimination on shape, size, color, breed, or mental capacity. We provide fresh drinking water for both dogs and humans. Dogs are welcome to dig, run, chase squirrels, play, swim (blow up pool in Summer), or chase the water hose. We will clean up after your dogs so no worries on bringing pooper scooper or doggie bags. The Canine Traveler

This Sniffspot is a fully fenced property (our home is inside the fence) with hills, bumpy terrain, sticks galore, piles of limbs, well dug holes by our lovely golden and pyrenees, and tons of open space. Please watch your step. When entering, you can park in the carport, gravel driveway, or even in the grass. You can use the grass to turn around in as well. You will close the gate right at the road during your entire stay. You can leave the gate open as you leave for our next visitor. We will not be visible during your visit and you will be the only occupants at your scheduled time. We are located outside the city limits and it is not uncommon to hear people target shooting or hunting. Just keep this in mind because that is out of our control. Trash & Amenities: The trash can and other amenities are inside the carport and at the picnic table in the back near the bamboo forest. Dog Library: We have a new dog library in the back near the bamboo that we will stock with toys, sticks, bags, and goodies. Seating: We have a table and four chairs in the bamboo/shaded area in the very back if you would like to have a picnic off the ground. In addition, we have a bench inside the carport. There are two fold up chairs in the carport if you would like to use them anywhere on the property. Fence: The fence is 3 to 4 feet on three sides and five feet on the road side. The front fence is wood slats/split rail with wire. There are some sections that have a fence behind a fence (even some you cannot see that are the neighbors). On other sides we have wire and chain link. Our Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever have never escaped or tried to jump it and that is a win for a Pyrenees! Wildlife: You may see turtles, snakes, rabbits, deer, ground hogs and squirrels. Grounds: The property around the home has never been graded so it is hilly and lumpy so be careful where you step. You can see holes dug in the yard from dogs. It is fine if they dig. We also had pipes going to a garden years ago so if you see them, don't worry! They are half buried and half exposed. Water: You have access to our well and water bowls. We also have a kiddie pool if you would like to use it. Wifi: We have wifi and outdoor outlets in the carport. Discount Code For First Time Guest: Sunshine Personal Note: My husband has stage 4 colon cancer and there are going to be times we have dates and times blocked off to ensure he can leave for appointments. We do this in advance but then we can clear those dates if he is doing well. Send us a message to inquire if you do not see a date, we could have forgotten to open it up.

Hello to all dog or animal lovers! You’re welcome to bring your furry friends here for a stretch, walk or just to do something different. We welcome dogs of all sizes and even other animals if you choose. We do have two dogs of our own who use this area frequently. If you plan to use our area, give me a heads up by texting me or calling me at 704-773-3858 so I can make sure our dogs are up and that all of the amenities have been refreshed or replaced. This is our home, but you are more than welcome to use it as you are on your travels. Please be respectful of the neighborhood while you’re here. Feel free to park in our driveway as the entrance to the backyard is through the wrought iron gate, located at the end of the driveway the brick wall — you can’t miss it.
