{Rules,"• Usage is restricted to Town of Guilderland residents with current dog licenses. Dog licenses are available at the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall (go to Town Clerk's web page under License and Permit Requirements for fees and forms). • A current dog license is required. Dogs must wear a collar with license and permit tag at all times. • Owners must clean up after their dog and deposit feces in the appropriate container. Littering is prohibited. • Owners must accompany and supervise their dogs at all times and are legally responsible for the actions and behavior of their dogs. Dogs must be leashed outside the exercise area. Owners must have a leash available in the exercise area. • Children under 10 are not permitted to use the dog park. Children ages 10 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Running with or chasing dogs is prohibited. • Dogs in heat are prohibited. • Dogs with a history of aggressive behavior are prohibited when other dogs are in the park. If at anytime a dog shows any sign of being dangerous towards people or other dogs, the dog shall be immediately removed. • Habitual barking that unreasonably disturbs any person (other than the dog owner) is prohibited. • Rawhide, dog treats, and food are prohibited. • Owners must stop their dog from digging and holes must be filled. • Dog-training classes are prohibited. • No more than 2 dogs per owner are allowed at one time. • Puppies under 4 months old are not allowed. • Town park rules also apply within the dog park.

Welcome to The Vista, a 30-acre outdoor space, with 15 acres for dogs and owners to enjoy. The area includes three main sections: an open field, a pond, and hiking trails. While there are no visible animals or pets on the higher levels, neighbor dogs may occasionally be visible at a distance from the lower areas. Wildlife is active and may cross your path—please avoid interaction when possible. This is an unfenced, off-leash location, and we cannot be held liable for dogs who are escape artists! Our pond spans 20 feet across and over 20 feet deep, with an almost immediate drop-off when stepping in. The pond is spring-fed and stocked, so feel free to swim, fish, or float during your visit (anytime between June and November). There is no electricity or formal structure, but you are welcome to set up a tent or umbrella for shade. This is a carry in–carry out site, so please leave no trace behind, including your trash. For twice the fun with your furry friend, consider upgrading to camp overnight! A porta potty is onsite, but there is no water or electricity available. Please note that security video surveillance is in place for safety. **A kennel club uses the lower field on Wednesday nights and Saturdays 10-5. There WILL be dogs within view, at a distance, during these times**
