We have a very large, fully fenced front yard with gate access from parking lot. *Please note there is an operating dog kennel at the back of the house* You will hear other dogs barking but you will not see them. There are other animals on the property as well. Horses & goats in back yard, chickens & cats free roam. These animals will not approach when with a dog, but leash training & a good grip required for all dogs on the walk from the car to the play yard. This yard goes unused aside from our two personal dogs that do not take advantage of it. We are hoping it can bring joy to other dogs in need. Great spot for lots of running! We host a beekeeper who has about 40 hives on a well-marked and avoidable section of one trail. The bees are out only from April to October but please avoid the hives anyway. There are forest trails and trails around our hay fields. **Please note **Our residential areas are off limits, please stick to the trails and blue markers. Please do not enter any of the buildings on our property. When you come up the driveway veer to the right, there is a marked parking spot for you and your pup. Fall, winter and early spring are great months for ball chasers as we have big open fields. Mid spring and summer we have hay growing and ask you and your pups to follow the trails around the hay fields. There are a couple of cows on the neighboring property, this is only for a very small portion on one of the fields.

***Charges are in USD*** *NOTE: There is currently construction beside the yard entrance. There may be hammering or machinery running during your visit. We walk our shelter dogs on the property. We will never approach you and your dog, however your dog may have a visual of one of our dogs. As well, your dog may hear barking from our dogs in their outdoor kennel. We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. All the fees go directly to the animals in our care. Welcome to our Sniffspot! We offer a pesticide free, beautiful and unfenced 25 acre area for you and your dogs. We offer free parking, access to nearby conservation trails, picnic tables, and a beautiful apple orchard to enjoy. During business hours of noon - 6 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we also offer clean restrooms, hard, farm fresh cider, snacks and indoor seating.
