Hi! I’m Joanne, and this is my dog Nifty’s favorite place in the world—so I thought I’d share it. We have 15 private acres with woods, open fields, and river access, and it’s been such a gift for my dog to have a safe space to run freely. I know not every dog thrives at dog parks, so I wanted to create a peaceful alternative. This space is especially loved by dogs who need a little extra room or prefer a quieter environment. Near the cabin, there’s a cozy seating area where you can relax under the trees while your dog enjoys the space. We’re so happy to share this space with you and your pup! It’s meant to feel simple, calm, and restorative—for both of you.

Yard includes playset with swings and slide, perfect for kiddos, as well as deck where you can sit and relax while your dog burns off some energy! Comfy hammock, chairs with cushions and guest wifi and outlet available. Off-street parking available in driveway.

Mary's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Windsor

Fully fenced in yard with open space for running and playing. There are trees outside the fence offering shade when needed. There is a hose for water access and toys throughout the yard. We do have a small area that is separated by a chain link fence for our dog to use as a quick outing while you are here if needed. He would always be supervised and is very friendly! Outdoor amenities are available in spring, summer, and fall only.

While you’re here, enjoy a hike in the Shenipsit State Forest just steps away from our property. Hike the Connecticut blue trail and take your pet(s) on a fun adventure. This fenced in area is housed within an animal sanctuary. The area is across a field from barn animals and resident dogs will be inside the house. There are 3 barn cats, but they do not go near the fenced in area. Parking is available next to the fenced area and the gate is open to walk into the fenced in area.

Returning renters can use code TRAINYERDOG for a discount too 😉 To access the agility field: Please follow the driveway straight back past the detached garage and park in the grass along the fence line of the field. *This spot is first and foremost an agility field! There is equipment setup as seen in the photos pretty much all the time. You do not need to be an agility whiz to rent- if you are looking for a quiet, safely enclosed space to let your dog have some off leash time, you are more than welcome here! But do note that it is not just a flat wide open space meant for free running. If your dog has never done agility, do not force them onto any obstacle. Reward them for investigating things, but if they seem wary of something best not let them have a bad time or potentially get hurt bailing off of a higher obstacle like the a-frame or dogwalk. Please do NOT change the height of any jumps unless you know how to do so CORRECTLY! Do not attempt to move or change the height of any tunnels, the teeter, weave poles, or contact obstacles. Leave things the way you found them, and if you’re interested in learning about agility see the last slide in the photos 😉 and please no humans (children included) on or inside of ANY of the obstacles! They are not meant to bear the weight of a human, and they are expensive to replace if damaged. AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Saloon door style tire and tunnels from Clean Run. Keep your dogs leashed for safety when entering/exiting the agility field as the rest of the property is not fully fenced. Please stay out of the neighbor’s property and out of my fenced in back yard closest to the house. It is low tech back there. There is no electricity or running water. Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. I do my best to keep the field as manicured as possible, but it is the out of doors so nothing is ever perfect! The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure there is nothing pokey on you or your dog’s path! Clean up after your dogs please! Stay safe, have fun, and happy sniffing 🐽

Hi Everyone, my name is Wendy ! A great big WELCOME to my sniffspot, so happy to have you here! Please come over and enjoy time with your special pets in my fully fenced, spacious, well kept, quiet and safe backyard. When you book it is just you and your pups, no distractions! (Use the Skip button top right corner if you don’t want to purchase a pass) Relax on the deck while pup sniffs until hearts content. Lots of toys to play with and extra towels, wipes, bubbles and doggie poop bags available just in case. Hose is off for the winter season so please bring water for the pups. There is a water dish here if needed. Don’t forget to bring along some treats to try out the tip-a-treat game!! Also a great place to hold a party for your pup or a puppie play date!
