Description

This 5+ acre parcel is full of fallow field fun for you and your pets! This farm is also a certified wildlife habitat, so it's great for birding if you enjoy that! Humans can stay on the mowed pathways while the dogs roam the open fields. Active farming activities including beehives, vegetable growing areas and bramble patch! While the area is only partially fenced, a large ditch to the south, creek to the north, and natural wooded boundaries define the edges of the parcel. Recommended for dogs on leash or under good voice control as a nearby road is quite busy. Feel free to view the growing areas and honeybee activity, but please do not allow dogs to enter or dig in active crop areas nor molest the beehive located in the far SW corner of the property. There are drop offs along creek edges in areas other than the creek stomp area. There is a large pit north of the agricultural growing area (marked by an orange cone!). Beehives on site - please maintain distance of 30 feet from any beehives. On our farm we make limited ingredient jams to sell on farm and at the farmers markets. Popular flavors are Blueberry Ginger, Cherry Cardamom, Chocolate Cherry, Peach Bourbon, Strawberry, Raspberry Earl Gray, Blueberry Lavender. Welcome to our small urban farm in Pike Township! The historic name of this area is Snacks Crossing, as it was the last place to stop for a snack on the way to West Lafayette! We look forward to sharing this open space with you and your pup! Please note we do have honeybee hives on property and active crop production. Please keep yourself and your pets away from the hives - a 30 foot distance is recommended!

Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.

We have a 2 acre fenced pasture behind the house. The grass may be long, however, will be occasionally cut so shouldn’t be crazy. Your dog and shoes may get muddy after rainy days. Please plan ahead. The fenced area is entered on the right side of the property through swinging gates. Lush, fully fenced backyard in quiet, dog friendly neighborhood. .5 acre space - plenty of room for dogs to run and play, while you sit and enjoy the area. Located right off 96th and Ditch, convenient for travelers on I-465, Highway 31, or Michigan Rd. We have no dogs, but do have small children and a cat. This is not a good place for aggressive dogs for this reason, and because our neighbors have a dog (visible through the fence). Guests may park in the horseshoe circle drive in front of the house (please don't block the driveway to the garage) and let themselves into the back yard using the wrought iron gate next to the garage and trash cans.
