As your pets play, enjoy birdwatching and sightings of cardinals, woodpeckers, blue jays, bluebirds, hummingbirds, finches, and more. Wildlife less present in winter. No pesticides or chemicals are used anywhere on the property. Grass is doggy-safe. Only organic cedar mulch with no dyes are present. A bat house installed at the back of the woods helps control mosquitos naturally in summer. There is some mud/dirt in the yard by the patio and near the entry gate as a result of getting a new concrete patio last fall. Please try to keep dogs out of the mud and out of the garden beds. Total lot size .67 acres; only the backyard is used for Sniffspot guests. Nearby traffic sounds are possible but not constantly present.

At Camp Annabelle, we offer three separate, fully fenced-in areas designed for your dog’s enjoyment and safety. The smaller yard features turf for easy play, while the two larger yards, each about a quarter of an acre, have grass and hay to help prevent muddy paws. All yards are enclosed by a privacy fence to ensure a calm and secure environment. We provide a variety of toys like balls, chuck-its, flirt poles, and tug toys to keep your dog entertained, along with training equipment such as place beds, long lines, FitPaws equipment, and targets for any training needs. A kiddie pool is available on warm days, and a hose is on-site for filling water bowls or the pool. Please remember to clean up after your dog—pooper scoopers and trash cans are provided. (Please request equipment when booking your spot.) For the humans, we offer WiFi, chairs, a trash can, and a fire pit in yard number 2 (with firewood and kindling available around the yard). Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.

You will have to drive around road closed signs to get here. ** Enjoy a fully fenced spot (4 foot wire mesh livestock style fencing), run through mowed grass, tall natural meadow (we are “rewilding” a portion of our yard to native plants), two short wooded trails and access to a large pond with dock. Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days. We do have chickens on site and ask you not allow your dog to harass them as you enter and leave (chickens are in a separate fenced area and in a coop/run). My dogs will be in the house—some barking may happen on your arrival but they will not be loose.
