Tucker's Wish Run and Play Park

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

The only Sniffspot in Indiana with a climate-controlled indoor play room. 🐾 I created this spot for pups who just deserve a safe place to run, play, and relax with their favorite humans. Please note: Maximum of 2 people per dog (Exceptions can be made for adoption meet & greets and immediate families — message me with any questions!) Our indoor space is ready for year-round fun, and the backyard is packed with agility equipment, enrichment activities, toys, and activities you won’t find anywhere else. What’s included: Full privacy fence• Heated indoor room + summer A/C• Tires, kiddie pools, A-frame, tree tug toy, jolly balls & more• Toys for every size and play style• Endless tennis balls 🎾• Raised cots for training or relaxing• Towels available• Water hose access• Doggy bags provided• Water dispenser & cups for humans Neighbor note: My neighbors do have dogs, but there’s a large distance and a privacy fence between the yards. It has not bothered most reactive dogs that visit. If their dogs become noisy, she is usually very kind about bringing them inside. Once inside the yard, there is no direct fence-line contact. This space is dedicated to my soul dog, Tucker, who crossed the rainbow bridge far too soon. 🌈🐾This would have been his dream yard. At Tuckers Wish, we’re always improving and adding new things to make your visits even better. Feedback is always welcome, so never hesitate to reach out. Tucker was one of the friendliest, most social dogs you could ever meet. He made everyone feel loved, and I hope this space gives you and your pups that same feeling every time you visit. Follow us on Instagram @TuckersWish We’d love to see your photos and videos from your visit! Pictures of your happy pups posted on Sniffspot may be shared to our IG page for promotion. If you do not want us to share your pictures, please let us know.

Barkov Park (2 acres, fully fenced w/ pond) In Plainfield

Fully Fenced
2 acres

**construction notice: our road is closed just east of our house. You can only access our driveway from the west. You will have to drive around road closed signs to get here. ** Enjoy a fully fenced spot (4 foot wire mesh livestock style fencing), run through mowed grass, tall natural meadow (we are “rewilding” a portion of our yard to native plants), two short wooded trails and access to a large pond with dock. Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days. We do have chickens on site and ask you not allow your dog to harass them as you enter and leave (chickens are in a separate fenced area and in a coop/run). My dogs will be in the house—some barking may happen on your arrival but they will not be loose. Wildlife may be encountered (deer, squirrels, crawfish, muskrats, many birds and snapping turtles). **Note: I didn’t want to claim the site as accessible as it is grass and some uneven ground, but feel free to reach out if you need an accommodation to access the spot and we can discuss what is possible** We welcome all. This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water is

Fully Fenced 1/2 Acre Private Dog Park In Carmel

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

This beautiful, park-like setting offers you and your dog mature trees, sun, cut grass, a picnic table, dog water bowl, chairs, poop bags, and a trash can. This is the backyard of our home, on the south side of Carmel. The driveway is narrow, so you are welcome to turn around (drive in the grass if needed) and pull back out - it’s hard to back out for sure. Please park to the far left of the garage in front of the trash cans. We have a mini goldendoodle who you may see in the windows. We also have two cats that may also be visible in the windows. The neighbors on both sides have small dogs that can be seen and heard sometimes. You will enter and exit through the gate between the house and garage. The pink bucket is for poop bags.

Bonny's 10 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Brownsburg

Partially Fenced
10 acres

Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.

Tranquil Tails - 1.5 acre Fully Fenced PRIVATE Yard

Fully Fenced
1.5 acres

Welcome to our spot, the perfect place for your friend to enjoy some off-leash time in a safe and controlled environment. We understand that some dogs may be reactive or require a bit more space, and we are happy to accommodate their needs. Our location offers plenty of room for your dog to explore and play without the worry of unexpected encounters being in the yard. Our immediate neighbors on the southern property line now have dogs, and you may occasionally see or hear them during your visit but seems to be a rare instance that they come to the fence line. A kiddie pool is available in the summer, but I will need to be notified in advance on whether or not you would like it filled. Two humans per dog are allowed unless arrangements are made with me in advance. Please note that the yard may be wet or muddy after rain or snow. Additionally, mole holes might be present in some areas (providing extra sniffing opportunities!) 😜 Additionally, our spot is conveniently located right by the B&O Trail, making it easy for you to warm up or cool down your visit with a walk. Come visit us and give your dog the freedom they deserve!! Feel free to bring a speaker if you want to listen to music during your visit! 🐾

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in Indianapolis

Rolled up to Broad Ripple Park's off-leash area on a spring Saturday and couldn't find a single dry spot that wasn't already claimed by twenty other dogs? Or braved Eagle Creek Park only to spend the entire time watching your dog nearly wipe out on icy patches while dodging geese? Indianapolis dog owners are dealing with a lot. The weather's a total crapshoot (70 degrees one day, sleeting the next), public off-leash dog parks turn into mud festivals for half the year, and finding a decent spot that isn't mobbed during Pacers or Colts season feels borderline miraculous.

Indy's got public spots scattered everywhere—Broad Ripple Park, Eagle Creek, Paul Ruster Dog Park in Carmel, Sahm Park on the Southside—but let's talk reality. Fenced-in areas that become swamps every time it rains, codes and signs plastered everywhere about vaccination requirements, collars and tags, current tag information, and water stations that freeze solid November through March. Dog owners from Fountain Square to Broad Ripple to Fishers are bailing on the public park situation. They're locking in private Sniffspot yards where their dog isn't one of fifty trying to navigate the Monon Trail crowd overflow. No dog bite incidents, no slipping in mystery mud puddles, just actual fenced-in land you can count on.

Why Indianapolis Dog Owners Love Private Dog Parks

Here's the thing about public off-leash areas in Indy—they work great until they absolutely don't. Dog's still figuring out recall? You need legit fencing, not crossing your fingers they won't chase a squirrel toward Keystone Avenue. It's November and 32 degrees with freezing drizzle? You want shelter and working water fountains, not standing around getting hypothermia. Got a dog who melts down around large dogs or gets anxious in chaotic play areas during race weekends? Private bookings wipe out those problems completely.

Indianapolis Sniffspot hosts get Midwest weather drama. Properties with drainage that actually functions (critical in Indiana), covered spaces for unpredictable rain and snow, agility equipment for dogs going stir-crazy during polar vortex weeks, water stations that work year-round instead of turning into ice sculptures. Nobody's out here verifying if other dogs are spayed or neutered. Zero worrying about communicable diseases in overcrowded spaces. Training sessions with food or treats? Way more productive without Circle Centre shoppers cutting through with their purse dogs.

What Your Indianapolis Dog Actually Needs

Indianapolis dogs need way more than cookie-cutter off-leash dog parks. They need fully fenced yards that handle freeze-thaw cycles without becoming total disaster zones. Water stations that function when it's not subzero. Reliable waste stations and bag stations for dog defecation cleanup. Walking areas that aren't skating rinks in January or knee-deep mud in April. Weather protection for those surprise storms that roll through during Indy 500 month.

Where to Find Dog Parks in Indianapolis

With nearly 500 Sniffspots across the Indianapolis metro, you're covered basically everywhere. Downtown, Fountain Square, Broad Ripple, Mass Ave, Irvington, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Zionsville, Avon, Plainfield, Greenwood, Southport. Even Brownsburg and Whitestown if you're looking northwest.

Filter by what actually matters: dog fields for your runner, fenced-in areas with proper drainage, agility setups for bored smart breeds.

Pro Tips for Indianapolis Dog Park Visits

Check the forecast religiously because Indiana weather is clinically insane. Bring water regardless of temperature (heated cars in winter = dehydration too), poop bags for waste stations, towels because mud is inevitable. Book covered spots during shoulder seasons when rain ambushes you. Spring means everything's wet, so plan accordingly. Food or treats for training? Keep them accessible.

What makes Sniffspot different: your time slot is exclusively yours. No off-leash dogs while their owners are distracted watching the Colts game on their phone. No navigating weird Indianapolis dog park hierarchies. No driving to Eagle Creek only to discover the entire area's a swamp. Just dependable space where your dog can run around without you both needing a full car detailing afterward. Browse hundreds of Indy options above and book your go-to.

What types of private dog parks are available?

Sniffspot has different types of private dog parks to allow any dog to find their ideal spot!

Frequently asked questions about Indianapolis dog parks

Are private dog parks better than public dog parks in Indianapolis?

Yes, private dog parks in Indianapolis eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dog encounters, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments. With Sniffspot's 526 private locations in Indianapolis, you get complete privacy during your booking, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. No more worrying about aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions. Barkov Park (2 acres, fully fenced w/ pond) In Plainfield and other highly-rated Indianapolis locations consistently receive 5-star reviews for safety and cleanliness.

Are Sniffspot dog parks in Indianapolis safe for all dog types?

Absolutely! Indianapolis Sniffspot locations welcome puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel overwhelmed at public parks, high-energy dogs needing room to run, and reactive dogs requiring privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets exactly the environment they need with no compromises. Whether your dog is friendly, selective, anxious, or anywhere in between, Indianapolis has 526 options to match their temperament.

When can puppies start visiting dog parks in Indianapolis?

Puppies can visit Indianapolis Sniffspot locations as soon as they have age-appropriate vaccinations (typically around 8-10 weeks with their first round of shots). Unlike public dog parks where you'd wait until puppies are fully vaccinated at 16+ weeks, Sniffspot's private bookings eliminate disease risk from unknown dogs. This early, safe socialization in Indianapolis helps prevent fear and reactivity issues later. Many Indianapolis trainers specifically use Sniffspot for puppy development.

How do I find private dog parks near me in Indianapolis?

Browse Indianapolis's 526 private dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your zip code or neighborhood. Filter by distance (within 5, 10, or 25 miles), then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities like fully fenced dog parks or small dog parks. Each Indianapolis listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Barkov Park (2 acres, fully fenced w/ pond) In Plainfield is particularly popular among Indianapolis dog owners.

Are Indianapolis dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many Indianapolis Sniffspot hosts specifically mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're sized appropriately for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs can be intimidated or injured by larger dogs, Indianapolis private bookings give your small dog the entire space. Filter for secure fencing with no gaps, smaller yard sizes, and hosts who cater to petite pups. Some Indianapolis dog park locations even have separate small dog areas.

What's the difference between Sniffspot and public dog parks in Indianapolis?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Indianapolis mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. You can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 526 Indianapolis locations give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, you get amenities like fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Do Indianapolis dog parks allow senior dogs?

Yes! Indianapolis Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious dogs. Look for Indianapolis spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, easy access, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility. The privacy means your older dog can enjoy off-leash time safely and comfortably.

Can I rent a private dog park in Indianapolis by the hour?

Yes! All 526 Sniffspot locations in Indianapolis are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer if needed. Book instantly through the platform, arrive during your time slot, and have the entire space to yourself. Many Indianapolis dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise for their dogs.
