55Beautiful spot to relax and have fun with your dog ! We’ll definitely be back soon.
55As one of SniffSpot's top 10 dog trainers in Washington state, I appreciated this spot for it's ability to entice my dogs to use their brains when sniffing in the forested areas. We worked on eye contact, boop (touch my hand), and recall all while playing with friends in a safe & clean environment.
55Very clean
55Looooove stump town!!! Always will come back!
55Great place, clear entry instructions, very clean, not super muddy. The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into making it dog and people friendly. No excuses for not picking up your poop - there are about a dozen poop bag dispensers here!
55What a perfect little spot!! Easy to find, fully fenced, nice amount of space, toy collection was AMAZING! There was even an awesome bubble gun with dog friendly bubbles! Our pups had the best time checking out all the stumps! We also really enjoyed the sound effects of local frogs!!!
55As someone who has a very anxious pup and recently moved from a house to an apartment, Stumptown was AMAZING! My pup lit up the moment she walked through the gate. The property was large, well maintained, and had fun toys for her to play with. We definitely plan to come back!!
55Stump town is as advertised! Lots of stumps full of smells and nice soft dirt for running around. This sniff spot is very peaceful, there are no visible dogs or people. Every once in a while we could hear a bird but it wasn’t a distraction or trigger to my dog. We enjoyed our time visiting this spot!
55Our guy loved it, lots to do!
55Amazing location to bring your dog! Amenities are fantastic, host is kind, and the area is gorgeous. The only problem we had is our dog had to much fun and got exhausted quickly! I highly recommend this location for everyone!

Description

Hello and welcome to Stump Town! This is our first time being a Sniffspot host and we hope you enjoy your time here. Things to note!!!! Hours will be adjusted with the seasons, we are not open after dark. Due to the spread of a canine respiratory disease in several states we will no longer have a communal water bowl. Water is provided but please bring your own bowl. All toys will now be rubber toys to make disinfecting them quick & easy. Please do NOT park in our driveway. Please park off the curb to the right of the driveway by the Sniffspot parking sign! - This used to be an old goat/chicken pen. The dirt is infused with the flavor of goat 💩! If you think your furry pet is a poop eater this may not be the best spot for you. While we have cleaned much of it it can still be tasty to some dogs! - The stall mats can get very hot. Have your dogs step onto the dirt or mulch when leashing up. - The terrain is on a slant, with dips and a mix of grass, dirt, and mulch. Please wear good shoes. - Steep stone steps to get down to the fenced area. - Please CHECK TRAFFIC! Weekday rush hour or weekend highway detours may impact your arrival! - This may not be the best spot for dogs under 20lbs. There are some spots in the fence they could shimmy under or at the gates. We hope you enjoy your time here! We have toys, water, and other necessities. As a reactive dog owner myself I understand how hard it can be to find a private space. Our yard is very secluded. You may on occasion hear the neighbors small dog but shouldn't see her. We have a privacy screen up but do not share the fence line directly with the neighbors.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Slippery when wet or icy - we will be using pet safe salt in the winter months. There are some gaps of a few inches under the gates and sections where a small dog may easily shimmy out. Also, I have blocked a part of the old barn with a plank of wood but a small dog may still try to squeeze under the barn after wild bunnies. Wild mushrooms grow, I try to pluck as many as possible.

This is my dogs home too! - No Smoking - ALWAYS fully close the gate when you leave. We have bears, deer, etc. who may use the spot if you don't. - Trash is ONLY for poop, water bottles and tissues.
