*fall/winter update* During the month of October we host a pumpkin patch every weekend and must close the Sniffspot for everyone’s safety. If you are a member please contact us if you aren’t available during the week to use your time. Well socialized pups are always welcome at the patch. 🎃 We have various levels of flooding during the winter; the spot has is anticipated to have mud and large puddles. At times we may need to close the spot due to excessive flooding (no dry land!). Please reach out if you have questions about how much water is in the spot. Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. We have new neighbors at the west end of the pasture. Please be aware there may be construction during your visit, we apologize for any inconvenience. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing (a very small dog may be able to get out). We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have a dog ‘Veles’ that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. We look forward to hosting you and your pup! Please reach out if you have questions. -Jenn & Drew

Walter & Bug's Private Dog Park In Kent / Covington

Hello and welcome to our Sniffspot! This is our first time being a Sniffspot host and we hope you enjoy your time here. It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, farmland and single family homes surround the property. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! * due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you *please note: this pasture was used for a month (June 2023) by our goats & chickens and so the dirt in areas may be infused with the flavor of goat. While we have cleaned much of it, it can still be tasty to some dogs so wanted you to be aware * The terrain of the pasture does have some dips and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of long pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid shoes will help you navigate the land. *There are three chickens on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. * September may be too late in the season, but if you are interested, please do give us advance notice (3+hours) if you would like the small plastic kiddie pool filled prior to your arrival. Thanks!

Small but well kempt yard. Couldn’t figure out how their water source worked so though I sanitized the water bowl , I couldn’t refill it.  My pup is small (20#) which is a good size dog for this spot. I will most likely return.  Thanks so much

Double the fun.  This time Sami met his buddy for a play date.  Cathy’s dog, Baker joined in the fun too.  Great place for dogs to socialize, also for their owners, with distancing of course!

A great little oasis and play area.  Nice place to sit while our dog explored.   Located in a quiet  neighborhood.  Cathy and her dog Baker were great hosts.  Our dog enjoyed playing with Baker.  There is a water dish for thirsty pooch.  We’ll definitely be back!

Terrific space for running and sniffing. Lots of trees, paths, and hill terrain to check out. Will come back next time I have a foster pup for her to run with - this would be a nice location for chase games. Rosie had a great time!

Amazing place, i was here last year when I only had one dog but waited until the second one was old enough to come back. My dogs had a blast. We arrived an hour late due to construction, and traffic. I reached out to the owner she offered to block the time I arrive so others won’t book the time we arrive. She made sure we didn’t lose the time we booked and I even offer to pay for the extra 30 minutes but she wanted us to use the time we already paid for. Owner is very kind and communicative! We will be back, the place was big enough for my dog to sniff and roam around for an hour!

Lovely spot! A cute little trail system and lots of tall grass for the pups to play in. It’s all nice and shady for hot days!

Great spot - we went during the heatwave. There were enough shady spots to give the dogs ample space to roam, there’s a water faucet up at the top of a second hill near the fence line. Definitely dry and dusty given the heat so plan for that! But it was a nice spot for the dogs to romp and play.

Fantastic spot. Easy parking and clear instructions. My dog loved sniffing around and hunting furry rodents hiding in the brush. There are some chickens at the top of the hill but my pup barely noticed them.

Wow! This was the BEST spot. It was easy to find and the parking area was clearly marked and right across from the entrance. It was super quiet and peaceful. My dogs had so much fun running along the trails and up and down the hills. There was a hose to fill up your water, picnic tables and plenty of shade. My dogs like to chase animals and we had no issues with the chicken coop and it was super secure. We will be back and feel so lucky to have had this time there!

Our dogs love this spot. They get a lot of exercise running up and down the hills. Be aware that there is a chicken coup. Our husky couldn't get to it, but she would've like to try.

Thanks for the afternoon zooms and sniffs. We have a beagle mix who doesn't have strong recall and has been know to follow this nose over all else. It was great to see him run full speed and explore with the security of the high fenced in area. Would love to come back again.
