Our fully fenced backyard in McHenry offers plenty of room for off-leash fun in a safe, stress-free environment. Perfect for reactive dogs, shy pups, high-energy zoomie sessions, or anyone who simply wants a quiet space away from crowded parks. Your pup will enjoy open grassy areas for running, lots of interesting scents to investigate, and shady spots under the deck to cool off on warm days. Humans are welcome to relax on the patio while their dogs play. We provide a bucket of toys, fresh water, and poop bags to make your visit easy and enjoyable. This back yard is fully fenced with driveway guest parking. There is a mix of both sun and shade, and a hose for water. The grass is treated for bugs in the spring and kept short through the summer. No people or dog distractions at my property, so the place is all yours to wander. I absolutely love making this space comfortable for dogs & owners to stretch their legs in peace. This fully fenced in 0.25 acre yard is attached to our Dog Training studio in Hoffman Estates. It is available for use when we're closed. It is only available after 6:30pm Mon-Fri, and is available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. You and your dog(s) will be the only ones on property during your reservation. The yard is well lit for night trips!

The Packground: Palatine Private Pup Yard

Welcome to The Packground: a private, low-pressure yard in Palatine built for dogs who need room to sniff, stretch, play, and decompress without the chaos of a public dog park. This spot is best for solo dogs, small packs, puppies, nervous dogs, city/suburban dogs who need a reset, and owners who want a calmer off-leash option. Book the space for fetch, training practice, decompression time, puppy confidence-building, or a quiet sniff session. The yard is private during your booking. Please leash dogs when entering and exiting, clean up after your visit, and leave the space as you found it. Water, seating, trash access, and basic dog-friendly setup are available where noted in the listing. This is the first version of The Packground, so feedback is welcome as we keep improving the space for repeat guests.

Bull Valley Sniff-Spot

FYI: A controlled burn was recently conducted in the back field because that area is state-owned. Our property remains open, including the full 16 acres available for your visit. Please just be mindful of the areas that do not belong to us. Come let your dog explore, play, and swim on our beautiful family farm. Our farm means the world to us, and we think you and your pup will love it too. Located on 16 acres in Bull Valley, Illinois, our property is doggy heaven for dogs that are trained to be off-leash. Take a walk, bring a frisbee or ball, or simply let your dog sniff and explore. Please note that our property is not fenced. It connects to a beautiful piece of state-owned land, but that land is not included in your rental. Your booking covers only our 16-acre property. If you choose to go beyond our property lines, please understand that we are not responsible for the state-owned land, as it is not part of our Sniffspot. We also have many farm animals on the property, so we ask that all guests be respectful of our land and animals. We take great pride in our farm and love sharing it, and we want to keep it beautiful for everyone. Entry into any barns or buildings is prohibited. Please remain in the back of the property, as we do live on-site and appreciate our privacy. This is a working farm, so you may occasionally see cars or people near the barns and lot as you arrive. If your dog is reactive, please keep them on a leash until you reach the back field. Also, please remember that this is a farm, not a park. The ground may be uneven in places, and there may be holes or other natural hazards caused by animals or farm activity. Please use caution, as we are not responsible for injuries related to the terrain.

Mature trees offer shade and a natural setting, perfect for off-leash play and zoomies. We’re happy to welcome reactive dogs—our own pup is reactive and does very well in this space. The private, secure yard allows many dogs to relax and enjoy themselves. Waste bags and a trash bin are provided for your convenience. Good to know: -Our corgi will be inside during visits (not visible or audible) -Some road noise from a nearby busier street, includes motorcycles -Occasional barking from friendly neighborhood dogs, cannot be seen from our yard

A few things to note about the space. We do have a neighbor dog on one side of the yard, on the other two sides, there may be a deer or three. If you decide to come at dusk, we have a mama raccoon with 3 babies. Please park at the spot closest to the street. Make sure your dog is leashed until inside the yard. Please throw out garbage in the big garbage can outside the gate. There are some balls under the porch and plenty of sticks if your doggie likes to play.
