Description

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors... ‘chatty hosts/property owners’😉). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat, a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power or running water) with it’s own private entrance. Two grassy sloping yard areas with “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill. Secluded, native woodland with mowed grass. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens. During your visit, feel free to pick blueberries, wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse could happen before we can arrange for it to be replaced.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Native woodland experience. We are out in the country and people may periodically light off fireworks or shoot guns in the distance. They are not close to the property, but the noise carries. As of January 2022: it appears the cute little neighbor kid got a equally adorable lil’ dirt bike from Santa this year. You may hear it zipping around on their 5-acres, but there’s fencing on that side. They also added a goat pen with contained chickens along our fence line. You will likely hear them. (A country kid living the best childhood EVER.😊)

Extras

Dog Towels$0

Should anyone decide to splash and play in the stream up at the ravine, there are clean dog towels in the locker at the Amenities Station to make your trip home in your vehicle a bit cleaner.😊 Please hang soiled towels over one of the chairs, so we can wash them.

Make it a PAWty! 🐾🎂🦴🌲$0

There is a maximum of 4 humans per dog for parties. So for 25 people, please book/pay for 7 dogs (even if your PAWty guests bring 1-4 doggos). Contact us with your details, so we can be better prepared. 😊

P-Patch Planter$0

A raised planter is located in the Parking Area that all guests are welcome to use. There are a few gardening tools and a large farm-style watering tough that collects rainwater. Guests are also welcome to plant or tend to any of the flowerbeds near the house. 😊 Please place pulled weeds in a neat pile and we will remove.

We purchased our property in the Spring of 1998. Our kids have grown up here and opened the Spot(s) while in college. Now, we host! We have always had working dogs that rarely leave the property, so we understand how important Spots like ours are to others. The decision to host was made to raise funds to renovate a guest house that’s located on the 5 acres. This location is very relaxing, so take lots of time just to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle.

Our facility has a fenced off-leash Dog Park with Agility Equipment with unfenced on-leash grassy potty area just outside. Our agility course is complete with multiple single jumps, A-frame, dog walk, tunnel, teeter and weave poles. On-leash trail walk through our wooded trails behind the dog park for a small additional fee. Cedarbrook Farms is a 60 acre farm with about half of this acreage as wooded trails behind the dog agility park. The main trail loop is to the right and is maintained (however there are two wet spots, we recommend you wear boots in the rainy season), the loop to the left may or may not be maintained. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options. There are single track cross through trails through the center of the main loop that you can explore at your leisure as well. The main loop is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace. Dogs must remain on leash at all times in the unfenced areas, horses/dogs share use of these trails. There is a portapotty available on site at the main arena barn, please have your dog in the car prior to approaching the arena barn area. We also have Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, veterinarian Dr. Hannah Mueller, on site and offer canine acupuncture, chiropractic, SCENAR and Theraplate. These things can be scheduled through our website at: www.cedarbrookvet.com, or call or text us at 360-794-9255.
