55Had so much fun trying this new Sniffspot. The pups loved it! We had fun walking the trails too. Thankful the rain stopped for the ~ hour we were visiting! 🙏🏻
55We are relatively new to this spot, so we are still finding new trails and areas to explore. It's such a a beautiful spot! This week my water-lovin' dogs were stoked to find the creek a little more lively after the recent rains. The members of my pack who are less confident swimmers still had a blast sploshing around too, as the creek was not wide, swift or deep, so they could easily run across. Besides playing in the water, the pups ran up and down the steep ravine and explored every mossy nook and cranny. We love it!
55This was an AMAZING experience for my city dog who seldom gets to just explore along his own path. There were many overlapping trails, a beautiful stream, and lots of clear signage. My pup and I truly enjoyed out time here and will definitely be returning again! Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful and peaceful place for pups like mine!
55Beautiful lush grounds with lots to explore. Well maintained with lots of thoughtful details. What a gem
55We had such a lovely time playing and enjoying the trail! We brought lots of stuff with us but loved that this sniff spot provided everything we needed from poop bags, to dog towels, toys and water dishes.
55What a fantastic spot! We've been to Black Pond Farm loads of times, but this was our first time at The Woodlands Tranquility Pathways. Wow wow wow! So fun! Lots of hills and mini canyons/ravines to run through, tons of old stumps and rotting logs to sniff around, jump over and climb, and a little stream for a cool drink. Like Black Pond, the hosts thought of every amenity and created the perfect sniff spot for humans and pups alike. 10 out of 10! 🙌The dogs had an absolute blast! Even the prissy jindos got dirty today 😄
55Dogs had a great time as always <3
55Nice spot for forested trails and off leash hiking practice
55It’s was a very nice walk in the woods! Our pups loved it 🐶🐕
55Wonderful private place to let the dogs stretch their legs!

this property borders a neighborhood — all are 5-acre parcels, where there are families with dogs on either side. so, if you see a dog please don’t worry that it’s lost or a stray. the dogs to the east stay out of sight and are very quiet, but they wander onto our property if they get bored when nobody is home at their place. we believe we’ve had guests that allowed them to stay for a playdate. watch for a friendly husky and please help us train them by shouting go home! (you absolutely have our permission to chase them. 😉) there is one dog to the west that loves to bark and is sometimes visible from the fence on that side. it is contained in it’s own fenced yard and the owners are courteous.

Description

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors... ‘chatty hosts/property owners’😉). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat, a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power or running water) with it’s own private entrance. Two grassy sloping yard areas with “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill. Secluded, native woodland with mowed grass. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens. During your visit, feel free to pick blueberries, wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse could happen before we can arrange for it to be replaced.

Hazards

Native woodland experience. We are out in the country and people may periodically light off fireworks or shoot guns in the distance. They are not close to the property, but the noise carries. As of January 2022: it appears the cute little neighbor kid got a equally adorable lil’ dirt bike from Santa this year. You may hear it zipping around on their 5-acres, but there’s fencing on that side. They also added a goat pen with contained chickens along our fence line. You will likely hear them. (A country kid living the best childhood EVER.😊) This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water

Extras

Dog Towels$0

Should anyone decide to splash and play in the stream up at the ravine, there are clean dog towels in the locker at the Amenities Station to make your trip home in your vehicle a bit cleaner.😊 Please hang soiled towels over one of the chairs, so we can wash them.

Make it a PAWty! 🐾🎂🦴🌲$0

There is a maximum of 4 humans per dog for parties. So for 25 people, please book/pay for 7 dogs (even if your PAWty guests bring 1-4 doggos). Contact us with your details, so we can be better prepared. 😊

P-Patch Planter$0

A raised planter is located in the Parking Area that all guests are welcome to use. There are a few gardening tools and a large farm-style watering tough that collects rainwater. Guests are also welcome to plant or tend to any of the flowerbeds near the house. 😊 Please place pulled weeds in a neat pile and we will remove.

We purchased our property in the Spring of 1998. Our kids have grown up here and opened the Spot(s) while in college. Now, we host! We have always had working dogs that rarely leave the property, so we understand how important Spots like ours are to others. The decision to host was made to raise funds to renovate a guest house that’s located on the 5 acres. This location is very relaxing, so take lots of time just to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle.

Hike up the mini forest

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, check out Sniffpass. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you have older dog/s and would like to drive below the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or Search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/washington-grace-e-s-mini-forest-ex9hrrp8?shareid=1ddvuyvr3yh Saturdays are usually blocked if there's Hipcamp bookings. But I would unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest..'
