Hi! I’m Joanne, and this is my dog Nifty’s favorite place in the world—so I thought I’d share it with other wonderful dogs and their people. We have 15 private acres with woods, open fields, and river access, and it’s been such a gift for my dog to have a safe space to run freely. I know not every dog thrives at dog parks, so I wanted to create a peaceful alternative. This space is especially loved by dogs who need a little extra room or prefer a quieter environment. The property is fenced along the two “long sides” which encourages your dog to stay nearby but with lots of roaming space. The fence is NOT fully secure. Please see the section about fencing. Near the cabin, there’s a cozy seating area where you can relax under the trees while your dog enjoys the space. We’re so happy to share this space with you and your pup! It’s meant to feel simple, calm, and restorative. 🐾 A Space That Gives Back This Sniffspot was created not just for dogs to enjoy, but to make a difference. This fenced in area is housed within an animal sanctuary. The area is across a field from barn animals and resident dogs will be inside the house. There are 3 barn cats, but they do not go near the fenced in area. Parking is available next to the fenced area and the gate is open to walk into the fenced in area.

Welcome to our Sniffspot area in Sturbridge (Fiskdale) MA. We are excited to provide an off leash play space for your furry bestie. **Winter alert: Other than a path from the driveway, the Sniffspot area is not shoveled and can be VERY icy and/or snow covered!! Conveniently located close to the Massachusetts Turnpike and Rte 84. The Sniffspot area is in a quiet residential, wooded area. There is a sportsman's club a ways down the road, and if there is an event, occasionally, the range can be audible. Most dogs have been completely unbothered by it. Last minute reservations are ok, but please understand, with minimal notice, we may not have the opportunity to completely refresh the play space. Please utilize the message option for questions and updates.
