Our backyard was a favorite of our late frenchie, Frank. We would love to open our yard to other dogs so they can enjoy it too! With our home being close to a summer hotspot, we welcome all doggies on vacation! A doggie pool will be set up for visiting pups, in addition to hose access that provides filtered water. *we do not apply ANY pesticides to the back yard so in the summer the yard may look different. we believe that dogs should have a chemical free environment to play in*

Red Barn Sanctuary!

Allow your furry friends to experience history at our beautiful half-acre sanctuary! You will be surrounded by a variety of trees, foliage, and flowers (as of June 7th- our Tulip Trees are starting to bloom! They are yellow/orange blooms at the tops of the trees). Our spot features full paddock fencing secured by vinyl livestock so you can be confident that your dog will be safe while getting their energy out. As for you, enjoy being in the company of our barn circa 1840, which was featured in a local Western film in the 1970s. We have outdoor furniture for you to take it all in as you immerse yourself in the wonders of Silverton Road’s most charming home! We have a deck box which holds our cushions for you to access in the event I am unable to set them out. If you’re lucky, you may just see some of our neighborhood’s beloved deer or chickens grazing in the field behind our property. When you’re done enjoying our property, be sure to visit Silverton Farms right down the road for fresh organic produce, eggs, honey and flowers. We hope you enjoy our property as much as our dogs Blu and Auggie do! Please note- we are a heavily wooded yard and as such, be sure to check you and your pups for ticks! Also just an update: upon entering our barnyard you will see where a large tree stump has been ground down- we lost our wonderful Black Cherry tree in a recent storm. As of 6/26, we have reseeded that area and surrounded it with plastic fencing, so please don’t mind the progress!

They can do zoomies around the big yard, swim in the large in ground pool, cool off in the large amounts of shaded areas, even go down a slide on the playground. The pups: Included:Toys, water, treats, yard, playground access,scooper with bags. *You are responsible for picking up after your dog*-the yard is checked before and after each visit. 🚨pool access is an additional charge. It a costly upkeep for daily maintenance. Please see extras.🚨 The humans: Included-Water, snacks, games, basketball court, playground, lounge chairs to take the sun included. The half acre fenced area consists of ample grass to run on, a concrete sidewalk / patio (handicapped accessible), mulchbeds of flowers & berries (feel free to grab a handful of berries if they’re in season!) and a giant sandbox / playground area. Tree cover throughout the yard provides shade, even in the hottest summer months. All around you is privacy—to one side, a half acre unfenced stretch of our property, and all around the property is 3.5 acres of private woods and wetlands. Deer, wild turkey, turtles, frogs, & birds of all kinds are just some of the animals you may spot! We provide tables and chairs, water, poop bags & scooper, and several toys. Kids (or kids at heart) will have a blast using the ride-on sand diggers, slides, and swings & coloring with sidewalk chalk. Fertilizer and pesticide: The grass is treated with fertilizer a couple times a year and the bushes are sprayed for ticks/mosquitos and weeds approximately monthly. As we have young kids a dog, all products used are animal & child safe when dry (within 2 hours). Out of an abundance of caution, we will ensure reservations are blocked off for the entirety of the day following any fertilizer, herbicide, or pesticide treatment.
